898,698. Seed sowing machines. MASSEYFERGUSON S.A. Oct. 27, 1958 [Oct. 28, 1957], No. 33484/57. Class 6(1). An agricultural seed drill in which a frame has laterally spaced seed discharge units including a furrow opener 43 is characterized in that the units are mounted on drag bars pivoted on the frame and each acted upon by a leaf spring 59 which is adjusted by means of a cam 56 provided with notches 57 in which the spring bears, the cam being turnable into different positions to adjust the pressure exerted on the drag bar. As shown the drag bar is in two relatively adjustable parts 90, 91, the part 91 being removable together with the furrow opener 43 so that it may be replaced by a different form of furrow opener.
