797,098. Chimney flues; sighting devices. SHERWOOD S. H. Nov. 21,1956 [Sept. 30, 1955], No. 27809/55. Class 126 A cylindrical chimney for a liquid fuel burner having an inspection opening covered by a mica panel, is provided with a curved frame 7 lying against the exterior wall of the chimney and holding a mica panel 10 over the window opening, the frame having bendable tongues 11 adapted to be pressed into engagement with the interior wall of the chimney. The frame 7 is of channel section ,the outer limb 8 being larger than the inner limb 9 so that its peripheral edge contacts the wall of the chimney while the inner edge presses on the mica panel 10. The chimney has slots 12 to receive the bendable tongues 11 and the mica window may have similar slits or cut away portions to accommodate the tongues.
