691,379. Chimney cowls. GREENWOODS & AIRVAC VENTILATING CO., Ltd., HUGHES, B. D., and FORD, E. L. May 25, 1951 [May 26, 1950], No. 13306/50. Class 25 A chimney cowl comprises at least three cylindrical members disposed in spaced relationship one within the other, one of said members being adapted to engage in the upper end of the chimney. As shown in Fig. 1 the cowl comprises three cylindrical members 1, 2, 3, secured to each other by brackets 4, the member 2 being split at 6 to ensure a tight fit within the chimney 5. Further embodiments are shown in Figs. 3 and 5. Any cowl according to the invention may be provided with a cover with or without a central aperture similar to that shown at 11 in Fig 1 supported by straps 12. Specification 691,378 is referred to.
