Abstract

745,805. Hand trucks. YOUNG, A. A. Sept. 6, 1954, No. 25744/54. Class 108 (1). A hand truck comprising longitudinals 1 interconnected by transverse members 2, 3, 4 and 5 and a toe plate 6 is supported on a cranked axle 8 provided with ground wheels 11. A hand lever 12 secured to the axle 8 serves to rotate the axle so that the toe plate 6 may be lowered to the ground. The truck may have struts 15, 18 to maintain it in its inclined position and supports 28 to support the truck frame in the horizontal position when the strut 18 is disconnected by removing the pin 21 and the frame lowered to the ground. Rollers 24, 25 may be provided to support rolls of lino &c. and the truck frame may be provided with a load-carrying surface pivoted at mid length to the upper end of the truck frame.
