627,911. Waste-fittings for sinks; traps. BADEN, E. June 27. 1947, No. 17073. [Classes 26 and 33] A removable cover for an opening of a sink, drain or like liquid receiver through which liquids with or without solids are passed into a container or duct has a hole which may be closed by a removable plug 21, and incorporated beneath the hole therein a water seal formed by means of a downward extension 3 of the wall projecting into a bowl-like receptacle 4, adapted to contain liquid, which has a central upstanding stem 5 secured to the centre of a perforated member secured to the wall 3 of the hole 2. The stem may be detachably secured by screwing to the centre of a spider 6, which may be detachably secured to the wall 3. The cover 1 is provided with a depending flange 7 into the groove in which is secured a rubber ring 9, which fits with a sealing action into the opening of a frame 10 secured by bolts 13 to the rim 14 of an opening formed in the top of a container 15. The flange 17 of the frame 10 is fitted within an opening 18 in the sink, which is supported on the container 15 by a spacing collar 19 seating on a rubber ring 20.
