521,312. Endless-belt conveyers. JENNER, C. E., and JENNER, Ltd., A. & C. Nov. 15, 1938, No. 33202. [Class 78 (i)] In a conveyer of the type in which an endless belt 5 is connected at intervals to endless chains so that it sags between the connections to form carrying pockets 6 for articles or material and the sag of the pockets is eliminated by contact with a roller at the delivery point to eject the articles therefrom, the delivery roller 14 is a rotary drum of greater diameter than the adjacent chain sprockets and is partially encircled by the belt, whereby the slack is taken up temporarily and the articles &c. thrown off. On the return run the wall 15 keeps the sagging portions closely folded as shown. A member 17 may co-operate with side projections 16 on the belt to re-form the pockets at the commencement of the carrying run.
