Abstract
In the production of yeast by the aeration process, wort containing yeast is withdrawn from the fermenting vat before the end of the fermentation, either continually or intermittently, passed through separators and the wort free from yeast is returned to the vat. Increased fermenting power of the yeast, and an increased production of yeast or alcohol may be obtained in this way. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 155,291, 294,133, 294,134, and 308,324, [all in Class 14 (ii), Beverages &c.].
