Abstract

Rotary-tool implements; tools; scrapers; travelling and propelling gear.-A hand or other cultivator comprises intersecting sets of spear-shaped radial blades formed integrally with one another in sets of two or four and mounted on two or more rectangular shafts, stationary arms being provided in connection with one of the sets to free it from stones, soil, &c. picked up. The shafts f may be mounted in a two-part frame a to which a handle is fastened by bolts passing through holes d. The radial blades e are pointed and are bevelled at both edges. They are clamped together on the shafts f by nuts and collars on the ends of the shafts. They are spaced apart by their bosses g or by independent collars. Arms project from the frame a between the rear blades e. The apparatus may be pushed or pulled or reciprocated. It may be provided with means for attaching a horse, and with a motor for driving the shafts f by chain gearing &c. A wheel may be mounted on a movable bracket for use in travelling along roads.
