Rotary containers; air, controlling direction of flow of.-Apparatus for drying fabric articles after dry-cleaning consists of an enclosed rotary perforated cylinder for the articles located within a chamber having a cold air inlet 5 extending nearly the whole of its length, air heating-coils 1 arranged in a duct 6, and a cold air supply duct 11, the casing having a longitudinal opening 7 through which either hot or cold air can be drawn through the cylinder and discharged to the atmosphere by fans 3 according to the position of a damper 12. The fans are. mounted on a common shaft located in a duct which communicates through openings 8 with the cylinder. Access to the fans is afforded by removable covers 14.
