Abstract

1534774 Constant vacuum carburetter SOC INDUSTRIELLE DE BREVETS ET D'ETUDES 13 April 1976 [17 April 1975] 15097/76 Heading F1H In a constant vacuum carburetter having tubular air and mixture throttle valves 24, 18, an air throttle valve by-pass tube 38, containing the fuel nozzle 42 in its Venturi section, extends into the Venturi section of the tube 60 which itself is disposed in the Venturi section of the carburetter body 14, the arrangement being such that at idle, tube 24 closes the air induction passage 22, causing good idle mixture atomization in the by-pass tube 38. At part or full throttle valve 18 opening, the dimter throttle depression transmitted via passage 34 to diaphragm 32 causes opening of the air throttle valve 24 and the associated fuel jet 52. An exhaust gas heated cone 20 which may be of parabolic shape co-operates with tube 18 to heat the idle and part throttle mixture. A rack and pinion arrangement 17 operates tube 18. Fuel is supplied to the nozzle 42 via bridge 46 from the annular duct 44.
