Abstract

1525983 Domed buildings ENGINEERING & GLASSFIBRE DEVELOPMENTS Ltd 17 Aug 1976 [14 Oct 1975] 41938/75 Heading E1A A dome shaped building 3 comprises a plurality of annular groups A, B, C, of moulded reinforced plastics panels 10, 20, 50 each of which has four flanged side edges by which it is secured to adjacent panels, the annular flanges extending around the dome being adapted to ensure that moisture cannot accumulate thereon. The connection may be by means of bolts and the panels may be of skins of glass fibre reinforced plastics and filled with polyurethane foam. Apertures 40 may be provided in the vertical flanges for, securement of scaffolding and aligned apertures 42, 43 may be provided in the other flanges for drainage.
