Abstract

1371851 Hoists WILHELM LAYHER GmbH 31 Jan 1972 [19 April 1971] 4359/72 Heading B8H [Also in Division E1] A hoist on a scaffold framework comprises a guide rail 2 made up of two beams 221, 221<SP>1</SP>, extending parallel to one another and coupled by crossbeams 223, the rail 2 being connected to an upright tube 11<SP>1</SP> of a vertical framework of the scaffolding such that the two beams 221, 221<SP>1</SP> of the rail and two upright tubes 11, 11<SP>1</SP> of the scaffolding extend substantially in a common plane. The rail 2 which may be detachably attached or permanently secured to the tube 11<SP>1</SP> includes a rack in the form of a recessed strip 224 or one of the beams 221, 221<SP>1</SP> may be recessed, the rack being engaged by a powered pinion on a hoisting carriage movable along the rail 2. The upright tubes of the scaffolding, the beams of the rail 2 and the strip 224 are provided with jointing pins for building up a structure.
