Abstract
1,237,634. Thermal switches. TEXAS INSTRUMENTS Inc. 20 March, 1969 [3 April, 1968], No. 14642/69. Heading H1N. A thermal switch for protecting an electric motor comprises an adjustable fixed contact 4 mounted within a recess of an insulating housing 1 and engaged by a contact 10 on a snapaction bimetal blade 9 attached to a metal cover 6. The blade 9 may be longitudinally creased at 11 to provide snap-action and may engage a back stop 8 comprising a projection formed on the metal cover 6.
