Abstract

1,254,475. Coatings. PROCESS SHIZAI K.K. 10 March, 1969 [15 March, 1968; 14 Aug., 1968], No. 12414/69. Heading B2E. [Also in Division G2] A polyester support is coated with a layer of cellulose acetate phthalate, polymethyl methacrylate, copoly (methylmethacrylate/vinyl acetate) copoly (methylmethacrylate/ethyl acrylate), polyvinyl butyral, polyvinyl chloride, cellulose acetate or a mixture of methoxymethyl nylon and partially esterified copoly (styrene/ maleic anhydride), e.g. from a solution in methyl ethyl ketone, or a butanol/toluene mxiture, and optionally overcoated with a layer of copoly (vinylidene chloride/acrylonitrile). Stripping paper is coated with an n-hexane solution of rosin, natural rubber and either polybutene, polyisobutylene or polyvinylisobutyl ether, which coating is transferred to art paper or art paper is coated directly with an n-hexane xylol solution of ethyl cellulose, rosin and a plasticizer.
