A semi-rigid or flexible hose comprises an inner tube 1 of a polyamide resin closely enveloped by a sleeve 2 of fibrous material and an outer cover 3 of an elastomeric material. The fibrous material may be braided or spirally wound steel wire or glass or synthetic fibre and may be embedded in the cover 3. The steel wire may be brass-plated. The elastomeric material may be natural or synthetic rubber or a polymer as listed in the Specification. A layer of textile material may envelop the fibrous sleeve 2.
