Abstract
The circuit provides a multi-input arrangement for the pick-ups used to detect the presence or absence of workpieces, or to measure their dimensions. It includes a transistor (T1) mounted in series with a diode (D1) forming part of a photocoupler (P) with a limiting resistor (R1). These are connected between DC voltage supply connections. Multiple inputs (E) are applied to the lines (e1...e4) which are connected to appropriate parts of the Zener diode circuit linked to the transistor. The various inputs are arranged to receive signals from most types of detectors currently available.
