Abstract

The spindle is screwed at each end and a cap with a transverse hole through it is attached to each end. A sleeve with a matching transverse hole is slipped over the cap and an eccentric pin is pushed through the holes, a spring urging cap and sleeve apart. The pin is turned by a lever on the outside the eccentric action pushes the sleeve inwards so that its end grips against the wheel hub. The amount of movement is adjustable by a locking nut on the end of the sleeve.
