PROCEDIMIENTO DE OBTENCION DE 5''-DEOXI-5-FLUOROURIDINA. CONSTA DE LAS SIGUIENTES ETAPAS: 1. REACCION DE UNA 5-DEOXI-2,3-TRI-O-ACIL-D-RIBOFURANOSIDO CON 2,4-BIS(TRIMETILSILIL-5-FLUORURACILO, Y SE SEPARA EL BETA-ANOMERO DE LA MEZCLA REACCIONAL, OBTENIENDOSE EL 1-(5-DEOXI-2,3-DI-O-ACIL-BETA-D-RIBOFURANOSIL)-5-FLUOROURACILO. 2. DISOCIACION DE LOS GRUPOS ACILO DEL 1-(5-DEOXI-2,3-DIO-O-BETA-D-RIBOFURANOSIL)-5-FLUOROURACILO FORMADO, EN EL QUE PREFERENTEMENTE LOS GRUPOS ACILO SON ACETILO; EL PROCESO SE PUEDE INTERRUMPIR EN CUALQUIER ETAPA. LA DISOCIACION PUEDE LLEVARSE A CABO MEDIANTE HIDROLISIS ACIDA O ALCALINA EN UN MEDIO ACUOSO O ALCOHILO, UTILIZANDO UN ACIDO MINERAL O UN ACIDO ORGANICO FUERTE; PARA QUE LA DISOLUCION PROCEDA CUANTITATIVAMENTE EL ACETATO DE METILO FORMADO DEBE SEPARARSE CONTINUAMENTE O MEDIANTE DESTILACION DE VACIO REPETIDA.
