Abstract

Improvements made to rotary cup mills adapted to grind and pulverize solid materials, which include a grinding ring mounted to rotate inside a closed container, a plurality of grinding elements mounted to cooperate with said grinding ring and a corridor annular between the grinding ring and the closure wall of said container, said improvements characterized in that they comprise a plurality of deflection devices (40) arranged above said annular passageway (31), the number and configuration of said devices being deflection, such as to direct most of the gas, forced upward through said passageway, together with the pulverized particles both inward and downward, thus forcing the coarser pulverized particles to separate from the gas stream and to deposit again on the grinding ring (12).
