Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a chisel tool according to the generic preamble of claim 1.
It is known that a chisel tool used for processing rock, concrete and the like is subject to considerable stress, which leads to wear, in particular of the cutting part. For this reason, chisel tools are made from a high-quality and therefore expensive material.
Taking into account the fact that the cutting part is subject to greater wear than the receiving part, a drilling tool is known from DE-PS 7 47 944, in which the cutting edge consists of a higher quality material. The cutting edge is welded to the rest of the tool. This production method enables the drilling tool to be manufactured more economically.
While this known, economically advantageous production method for drilling tools which are exposed to a rotary movement is justified, a transmission to tools which are exposed exclusively or predominantly to an impact stress fails. If the impact stress is not taken into account when dimensioning such tools that are exposed exclusively or predominantly to impact stress, stresses arise which can lead to the weld connection being released.
From EP-A-0 470 045, which forms the generic generic term, a trained chisel tool with a receiving part and a cutting part is known. In this known tool, the receiving part and the cutting part each have a constant diameter over their longitudinal extent. The diameter of the receiving part exceeds the diameter of the cutting part in some areas. This known chisel tool is formed in one piece, that is, the receiving part and the chisel part consist of the same material.
The invention is based on the object of exclusively or predominantly exposed to tools, i.e. in particular to create chisel tools which are economical to manufacture and which, in addition to a long service life, ensure high degradation performance.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by a chisel tool which has the features stated in the characterizing section of patent claim 1. The chisel tool according to the invention has a cutting part which, compared to the receiving part, consists of a higher quality material and is connected to the receiving part via a friction-welded connection.
By producing the chisel tool from parts of different materials, it is possible to use a material of higher quality than the receiving part for the cutting part that is subject to wear. The less expensive material for the receiving part leads to a more economical chisel tool overall.
Based on the shock wave theory and in connection with the demand for a high mining performance, it has been shown that stepped chisel tools offer advantages in this regard. In connection with the transition point from the cutting part to the receiving part in the form of a friction weld connection, it makes sense to use this connection point for the jump in diameter. To connect the two parts with each other via a friction welding connection offers also the advantage that an extremely economical connection process is used, which does not require any additional material. In addition, due to its manufacture, a friction weld connection offers advantages in terms of concentricity and centering.
A chisel tool produced in the manner according to the invention also has logistical advantages in that special solutions can be produced without any problems, which can be, for example, special lengths or special materials for specific substrates. In such a case, a cutting part tailored to the special case can be connected to a standard receiving part. In addition, the connection of the two parts by means of a friction welding connection enables refitting with a new cutting part if the receiving part is still operational.
Taking into account the shock wave theory and with regard to the effects on the mining performance, it is expedient if the diameter of the receiving part corresponds to 1.1 to 1.3 times the cutting part. It should be noted here that both the receiving part and the cutting part each have a constant diameter along their respective entire lengths. The diameter of the receiving part is preferably 1.125 times the cutting part.
The special steel 42CrMo4 has proven itself as the material for the receiving part. On the one hand, this steel can withstand the stresses acting on the receiving part and, on the other hand, it is so inexpensive that it promotes the economic efficiency of the entire chisel tool. The special steel X50CrMoV51 is suitable for the cutting part, which is characterized by a sufficiently high wear resistance in connection with the material degradation taking place.
Depending on the application, the length ratios of the cutting part and the receiving part can be varied. With regard to the shock wave stress, however, certain length ratios are advantageous, and these are expediently achieved when the length of the cutting part corresponds to 0.4 to 1 times the receiving part.
The invention is explained in more detail below with the aid of a drawing which shows an exemplary embodiment of the chisel tool according to the invention.
As the drawing shows, the chisel tool consists of a receiving part 1 and a
In the area of its free end, the receiving part 1 has means for connection to a receptacle of a drive device, these means in the present case being designed in a known manner as a locking groove 4.
The
As the figure also shows, both the receiving part 1 and the
