Abstract

The present invention relates to a packaging intended to house an article the accessibility of which is conditioned by the position of at least one retractable panel, the said article being accessible when the panel is in the active position and inaccessible when the said panel is in the rest position. , said packaging being characterized in that it comprises a folding element (510) consisting of at least one front flap and a rear flap and at least one retractable panel (514) inserted in a space formed between the front and rear flaps facing each other, at least one of said front and rear flaps having an opening intended to allow access to the retractable panel so that this panel can slide in said space between a rest position and an active position. Such packaging accommodates any articles, for example matches and their scraper, medicines,. . .etc. . . .

Description

The present invention relates to a slide-out packaging provided with at least one retractable panel.

More particularly, this packaging is suitable for accommodating either an ignition assembly (matches and a scraper) inside it or articles such as medicaments. Such packaging provided with an ignition assembly is in particular intended to be secured to a pack of conventional cigarettes, of the "box" type.

It is already known to combine matches and a pack of cigarettes, in particular due to the fact that these various elements are necessary for the smoker, at the same time.

Very often such associations are made in an unsightly manner by simple bonding of a plurality of matches on one side of a packet of cigarettes. Besides the fact that this combination destroys the external appearance of the cigarette pack, it is also, in general, unreliable. Indeed, the pack of cigarettes and / or the plurality of matches deteriorate very quickly after a few uses.

It is also known to provide a pack of cigarettes with a pivoting panel covering a row of matches, as shown in US Patent No. 2,975,890. However, such a pivoting panel easily tends to tear and is bulky when it is in the open position since it extends outside the package. On the other hand, such a packaging has on its front face a scraper for matches which is unsightly and which harms the external appearance of the pack of cigarettes and therefore the brand image of the manufacturer of this pack.

It is also already known, in particular by American patent No. 3,017,388, to produce a package of cigarettes of the type, "drawer box", which shows, when the drawer containing the cigarettes is taken out of its envelope so as to take a cigarette, a plurality of matches on its front face. However, in addition to the fact that such a device can only be used for cigarette packs of the "drawer box" type, the mechanism used is complex and fragile because the matches are not secured to a rigid support. On the other hand, the scraper is placed on the front face of the pack of cigarettes which is completely unsightly.

One of the aims of the present invention is to create a slide-out packaging provided with a retractable panel in particular intended to contain an ignition assembly, which can be associated or form an integral part of a pack of cigarettes and overcomes all of the drawbacks. above stated. In particular, we seek to create an aesthetic packaging, easy to use and to carry out.

The packaging according to the present invention can also receive articles other than an ignition assembly and for example medicaments.

In fact, many drugs currently on the market come in the form of tablets, wrapped in a plastic film on a tablet, each tablet being detachable by perforating the tablet, independently of the other tablets. Such tablets are usually housed in a cardboard box or the like of a traditional shape. A manual, or dosage is also slipped inside the box.

However, such packaging has many drawbacks.

On the one hand, it is a packaging easy to open by children since it comes in the traditional form of a box, on the other hand, when a box of medicines has already been opened several times, the leaflet tend to get stuck, folded or torn at the bottom of the box, or worse to be thrown away because it hinders the closing of said box. Consequently, any drug thus conditioned can be separated from its instructions for use which is very dangerous.

One of the aims of the present invention is to alleviate all of these drawbacks and in particular to create a package whose opening, whatever easy for an adult, is not traditional and confuses a child, and in which the instructions for cannot be thrown away, lost, deteriorated, or hinder the closing of the packaging.

The present invention also aims to create a packaging, easy to produce, and economical.

To this end, the present invention relates to a packaging intended to house, inside, an article whose accessibility is conditioned by the position of a retractable panel, said article being visible and accessible when the panel is in the active and invisible position and inaccessible when said panel is in the rest position, said article being further apart from said panel, said packaging being characterized in that it is produced in the form of a flat pouch consisting on the one hand of a folding element secured to itself and comprising a front flap and a rear flap and secondly by said retractable panel and in that said retractable panel is secured to one of the front or rear flaps while being movable relative thereto.

The present invention also relates to a method of manufacturing a packaging provided with a retractable panel, characterized in that it comprises the following steps:

According to the embodiment shown in Figures 1 and 2, a package according to the invention comprises a folding element 10 comprising a front flap 11 and a rear flap 12 separated by a fold line 13 and a retractable panel 14. The rear flap 12 is provided with a fixing tongue 15, while the front flap 11 has an opening 16.

As is better visible in Figure 2, such packaging is achieved by folding the two front and rear flaps around the fold line 13. The tongue 15 is folded so as to be caught between the two flaps and is fixed in this position. The retractable panel 14 is inserted between the front and rear flaps 11 and 12 and can be moved relative to these in the direction of the arrow I (FIG. 2) thanks to the opening 16 which allows direct access to the retractable panel 14.

In the embodiment given the retractable panel 14 is provided with a plurality of matches and the flap 12 is provided with a scraper 17 for these matches.

It should be noted that in the example described above, the retractable panel can come out of said packaging, at least partially, through the opening 18.

The packaging described above presents a generally rectangular shape as well as the opening 16. Of course, as a variant, the shape of the packaging and the opening may be any.

Similarly, the position of the scraper may differ from that described, the scraper may indeed be fixed to any of the front and rear flaps or to the pivoting panel and this in any position.

It should be noted that the fixing of the various elements between them can be carried out in any way.

In order to ensure that the flap 14 cannot escape from the front flaps 11 and rear 12 which surround it, the fixing tab may have an oblique edge as shown by the dashed line A in FIG. 1 , the flap 14 then has a complementary shape (dashed lines) as well as retaining means (not shown) preventing it from completely leaving the space existing between the front and rear flaps.

It should be noted that the folding element 10 can be different from that described for example the front flaps 11 and rear 12 can be connected to each other not according to their length but according to their width. In this case the opening 18 is made as before or according to the length of the front and rear flaps.

It is possible, as a variant (not shown), to produce a retractable panel which may or may not be secured to one or the other of said front and rear flaps, while being movable relative to them. The connection here constitutes a simple means of retaining the retractable panel inside the folding element.

According to a second embodiment shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the packaging according to the invention comprises a front flap 111 and a rear flap 112 connected by a fold line 113 constituting a folding element 110 and a retractable panel 114. The retractable panel is formed in the same strip of material as the previous two flaps. This panel is provided on one side with a scraper 117 and a plurality of matches 118. The flaps 111 and 112 are provided with fixing tabs 115 pre-glued.

Openings 116 are made on either side of each of the front and rear flaps 111 and 112. The retractable panel 114 is provided with a gripping element 119 of reinforced structure, and is precut along broken lines J.

The reinforcement of the structure of the gripping element 119 is advantageously achieved by folding over this element the cut material to produce the adjacent opening 116.

Such packaging is assembled by cutting along the broken lines J of the retractable panel 114 and folding over the rear flap 112 of this panel.

The pre-glued fixing tabs 115 are folded over one another and thus secured.

The retractable panel 114 can then slide between the fixing tabs 115 playing the role of slides, and preventing the retractable panel from escaping from the space provided between the front and rear flaps which face each other.

It should be noted that for such packaging the broken lines J of the flap 114 have a retaining means 120 which prevents the flap 114 from escaping from the two flaps 111 and 112 which surround it, while allowing it to slide along 115 tabs or slides.

It should also be noted that in the present embodiment, the opening making it possible to exit, at least partially, the retractable panel is in fact the opening 116.

In addition, the scraper 117 is only apparent when the retractable panel 114 is fully retracted inside the two front and rear flaps 111 and 112. This is important because thus it is impossible to light a match while the plurality of matches is unprotected. We thus realize a paramount safety condition.

As a variant, it is possible to provide the preceding packaging only with a single opening 116 intended to facilitate gripping of the retractable panel 114. In this case the scraper 117 is fixed to the back of one of the front or rear flaps 111, 112 or on the gripping element 119.

The shape of the opening (s) 116 is arbitrary, as well as the dimensions of such packaging. However, the dimensions are preferably such that it is easy to hold such packaging in the hand.

Likewise the flap 114 may not have a broken line shape J the packaging is then provided with adequate means preventing the flap 114 from escaping from the front and rear flaps 111 and 112. For example one of the front or rear flaps may have an internal cutout provided with two stops (not shown). A lug secured to the retractable panel slides in the cutout between the two stops. The retractable panel then has a stroke limited by the location of the two stops.

Such packaging can be joined and / or associated by any suitable means to a pack of cigarettes.

According to a third embodiment shown in FIGS. 5a, b, and c, the packaging according to the present invention comprises a front flap 211 and a rear flap 212 constituting a foldable element 210, six fixing tabs 215 and a retractable panel 214. The front flap 211 is provided with an opening 216.

A plurality of matches 218 and their scraper 217 are secured to the rear flap 212 so that after folding (Figure 5b) said plurality of matches is located directly above the opening 216. A folding strip 213 separates the two front and rear flaps.

The retractable panel 214 has a gripping element 219 with a reinforced structure as well as two lateral reinforcements 223.

The gripping element 219 is provided with two non-opening recesses 224 and has a width l, very slightly less than the width L of the opening 216. The total width l _t , of the gripping element is clearly greater than the width L.

Such packaging is implemented in the following manner.

The retractable panel 214 is inserted between the two front and rear flaps 211 and 212 so that the gripping element is inserted between the two uprights 225 of the opening 216.

The front and rear flaps 211 and 212 are folded towards each other by pivoting around the folding strip 213. The fixing tabs 215 are then folded down and fixed, by any suitable means on the sides and the bottom of a classic 200 cigarette package (Figure 5c).

Thus, a packet of cigarettes was produced provided with a package containing matches and a scraper without destroying the conventional aesthetics of such a packet of cigarettes.

In particular, thanks to the retractable panel 214, it is possible to conceal the plurality of matches 218. Of course, it is possible to make the front and rear flaps 211 and 212 absolutely identical to the front face and / or to the rear face of a package. of classic cigarettes. Such packaging therefore does not harm the known aesthetics of a pack of cigarettes.

According to a fourth embodiment shown in Figures 6, 7 a to f and 8 the packaging 310 according to the invention is an integral part of a cardboard strip 300 or form intended to constitute after folding a pack of cigarettes.

This cardboard strip comprises a cover element 310, a rear face 302, the packaging 310 according to the invention, a bottom 303, a front face 304, and fixing tabs 315. The packaging according to the invention comprises a front flap 311, a rear flap 312 constituting a folding element 310 and a retractable panel 314 similar to the retractable panel 214. The front flap 311 is provided, by cutting, with an opening 316 having two lateral uprights 325. The rear flap 312 is provided with a plurality of matches 318 and a scraper 317. A folding strip 313 separates the front and rear flaps 311, 312.

The assembly of such a packet of cigarettes is explained below.

The two front and rear flaps 311 and 312 are folded towards each other by pivoting around the folding strip 313 (arrow B) after the pivoting panel 314 has been introduced between the lateral uprights 325 of the opening 316 .

The rear face 302 of the cigarette pack is folded over the rear flap 312.

From this stage of manufacturing, the production of the pack of cigarettes provided with the packaging according to the invention is carried out in the same way as a conventional pack of cigarettes and is described here for information only.

The fixing tabs 315 are folded in the direction of the arrows C and D of FIG. 7b. The front face 304 is then folded back in the direction of the arrow E while the fixing tabs 315 which are associated with it are glued to the tabs 315 already put in place (FIG. 7c). The fixing tabs 315 of the cover 301 are folded in the direction of the arrows F and G of Figures 7d and 7e and glued in position. The cover 301 is then folded in the direction of the arrow H, figure 7f.

This produces a pack of cigarettes of conventional format provided with a packaging with retractable panel.

FIG. 8 shows more clearly the space 226 in which the retractable panel 214 slides according to the third embodiment. Of course, the packaging according to the fourth embodiment also has the same characteristics.

This free space allows easy movement of the retractable panel 314 or 214 between an active position in which the plurality of matches and the scraper are directly accessible and a rest position in which these elements are inaccessible.

Obviously it is possible to provide the retractable panel according to any one of the preceding embodiments with a plurality of matches and / or a scraper instead of fixing these elements on the front flap 11,111,211,311.

As a variant, it is possible to provide the folding strip 213, 313 separating the front and rear flaps, with two spacers (not shown) at each of these ends. These spacers are intended to be folded along the folding strip, so as to maintain a constant space between the two flaps, and to stiffen said folding strip.

The packaging according to any of the embodiments of the present invention can of course be provided with elements other than a plurality of matches and a scraper. It can for example be provided with suitable lozenges, to reduce the harmful effects of tobacco, or else, be provided with gadgets or advertising slogan having or not relating to tobacco.

Alternatively, it is possible to provide the gripping element 219 and 319 with openings 224 and 324 or no recesses.

The packaging according to the present invention can be made from a strip of cardboard, plastic or plastic or any other suitable material.

As a variant, it is possible instead of associating the plurality of matches 18,118,218,318 with the front flap, to ensure that this plurality of matches is an integral part of said front flap. The matches are in this case precut in the thickness of the front flap which avoids having to fix them to this flap and which reduces the space 226,326 separating the front and rear flaps. This saves money on the materials to be used for the manufacture of such packaging and reduces the thickness of the cigarette packs provided with the packaging according to the invention. The exterior appearance of the cigarette package is thus even more respected.

It should be noted that the positioning of the opening 216,316 on the packet of cigarettes produced is arbitrary.

Of course, the present invention is not limited to the embodiment chosen, it is possible to envisage other variants without departing from the scope of the invention, for example the front face of a pack of conventional cigarettes can be provided of a packaging according to the invention and not the rear face as previously described. In addition, the packaging according to any one of the embodiments can be produced in a form other than rectangular, for example, round, oval, square, triangular, etc. . .

The packaging according to the present invention may also contain articles such as medicaments. The fifth and sixth embodiment described below relate more particularly to this type of article.

According to the embodiment shown in Figures 9 and 10, the packaging 410 according to the invention has a front flap 411, a rear flap 412 and a retractable panel 414 all three forming an integral part of the same form.

The front and rear flaps have the same dimensions and are delimited by a fold line 415. The rear flap 412 is provided with two symmetrically produced cutouts 416 defining a central part 422 or retaining tab. The retractable panel 414 is produced in the extension of these cutouts and has a width m identical to the distance d separating the cutouts 416. This retractable panel 414 has a rectangular flange 413 and inside thereof a pivoted panel 421 cut out inside it along lines 419 on three of its sides and having a fold line 420 on the other of its sides. The pivoting panel has on each of its faces 421a, 421b a surface intended for the printing of a dosage sheet corresponding to a tablet of drugs to which it is fixed. Each front and rear flap 411, 412 has an appropriate bonding area 417.

The front flap 411 has a window 418 precut, but not hollowed out and therefore having a cover 418a inside.

The drug tablet (not shown) is glued to the rectangular flange 413 of the face 414b of the retractable panel 414. This tablet is traditionally constituted by a semi-rigid sheet of plastic film having on one side cells intended to accommodate tablets , pills, capsules etc. . . , and on the other side of which is secured an aluminum foil closing the cells.

In a manner known per se, the aluminum foil is easy to pierce at the level of each of the cells so as to allow easy access to the corresponding tablet.

The mounting of such a shape is carried out in the manner described below.

The retractable panel 414, provided on its face 414b of a tablet of medicines is folded up according to arrow K (FIG. 9) on the rear flap 412. The front flap 411 is then folded back on the rear flap 412 according to arrow L so that the bonding zones 417 face each other and adhere to each other. The packaging according to the invention is thus achieved.

The operation of such packaging is explained below.

At rest, the packaging according to the invention is in the folded state (not shown). To allow the opening of this packaging, it is first necessary to remove the cover 418a closing the window 418. Then the user exerts with his thumb a pressure on the retractable panel 414 which appears through the window 418 , while sliding it outward through one end of the package. The retractable panel 414 is thus located outside the packaging, so that the pivoting panel 421 can pivot around its fold line 420 in the direction of the arrow M, FIG. 10. The dosage sheet for the drug attached to the pivoting panel 421 can thus be read on its two faces. When the user wishes to take one or more of the tablets packed in the tablet fixed on the face 414b, of the retractable panel 414, it suffices for him to pivot the pivoting panel 421, so as to have access to the underside of the tablet and to be able to pierce it (in the traditional way) to collect the desired tablet (s).

To close the packaging according to the invention, it suffices to push the retractable panel 414 inside the packaging, the pivoting panel then closes automatically on itself in a flattened position, inserted between the front and rear flaps.

It should be noted that thanks to the retaining tab 422 the retractable panel cannot come completely out of the packaging or separate from it, like the tablet, and the pivoting panel with the dosage instructions.

In addition, although a package according to the invention is easy to open for an adult, a child on the other hand is not able to open it, because it is necessary, in order to bring out the retractable panel 414, to both exercise pressure and sliding movement. In addition, access to medicines is impossible until the pivoting panel has been lifted.

It should be noted that the surfaces of the available packaging, for printing the dosage leaflet or information concerning the drug, are not reduced only to the pivoting panel 421. In fact, the retaining tab 422 also appears so visible in window 418 and can be printed, as can the external surface of the packaging.

A reliable, economical, simple packaging has thus been produced in which the medicament tablet is secured to the packaging and in which the dosage cannot be detached from the medicament tablet and does not hinder the correct closure of the packaging.

Such packaging can be made of any suitable material, for example cardboard, plastic, etc. . .

Figures 11 to 16 show a sixth embodiment of the present invention which is characterized in particular by the fact that there is provided an additional flap intended to come to cover the rear flap so that the user does not see the movement of the retaining tab, and thus improve the aesthetics but also the solidity of such packaging. The elements common with the fifth embodiment bear, in the context of this sixth embodiment, references increased by a unit of one hundred.

The 510 conditioning according to this mode of embodiment of the invention comprises a front flap 511, a rear flap 512, a covering flap 530 and a retractable panel 514, provided with suitable bonding zones 517. A fold line 520 delimits the rear flap 512 of the retractable panel, a fold line 515 the rear and front flaps 512 and 511 and a fold line 525 the front and cover flaps 511 and 530.

The cover flap 530 is provided with a bonding zone 517 delimited by a fold line 531.

The folding of such packaging is carried out in the manner described below.

The retractable panel 514 comprising its pivoting panel 521 surrounded by the rectangular flange 513 is folded over the rear flap 512 according to the arrow N (FIG. 11). The assembly constituted by the rear flap 512 and the retractable panel 514 is then folded over the front flap 511 according to arrow 0 (FIG. 12). The bonding area 517 of the covering flap 530 is then folded over it in the direction of the arrow P, so that the pre-glued part is not in contact, after folding around the fold line 531, with the flap 530.

The rear face of the rear flap 512 is advantageously provided with another bonding zone 517 such that by folding in the direction of the arrow Q (FIG. 13) the two bonding zones 517 face each other and adhere one to the other.

The packaging according to this embodiment is thus finished. The only difference between the fifth and the sixth embodiment is that the packaging according to this sixth embodiment is provided with a covering flap 530 covering the rear flap 512.

In FIG. 15, there has been shown under the reference 531 a medication tablet, provided with tablets 532 visible through a transparent plastic film 533.

The operation of this sixth embodiment is similar to the fifth embodiment and will not be detailed here but it is clearly illustrated in Figures 14 to 16. It should be noted that thanks to the presence of the cover flap 530, the external aesthetic appearance of the packaging according to the invention is significantly improved, as well as its solidity. In addition, additional printing surfaces are available.

Figures 17 and 18 show some variants of the sixth embodiment, which could also be adapted to the fifth embodiment as well.

In FIG. 17 in particular, the window 618 is ovoid, and the retaining tab 622 is no longer produced by cutting two notches but only using a single notch 616. The other side of the retaining tab is directly produced by the outer edge of the rear flap 612. The pivoting panel 621 is in turn produced by cutting inside the edges 613 of the retractable panel 614 according to two cutting lines 619 and is delimited by a folding line 620. The transverse cutting line located at the opposite end of the fold line 620 on the retractable panel 614 is simply eliminated.

Appropriate bonding zones 617 are provided on the rear face of the flap 612, on the front face of the flap 611 and on a bonding zone which can be folded down on the flap 630.

The folding of such packaging is similar to that described above and is carried out according to the arrows R, S, T and U. The operation is, for its part, unchanged.

FIG. 18 illustrates another variant of the packaging according to the invention in which the retractable panel 714 comprising its edges 713 and its panel 721 is placed in the extension of the rear flap 712 provided with the appropriate notches 716.

The rear flap 712 is in the case of this embodiment placed between the front flaps 711 and covering 730. Appropriate bonding zones 717 are produced on each of the front, rear and covering flaps. A rectangular window 718 is produced in the front flap 711. The packaging of the packaging according to this embodiment is carried out in the direction of the arrows V, W, X and Y.

It should be noted that the arrow W indicates that the covering flap is folded over the rear face of the rear flap, while the front flap is folded (arrow Y) over the assembly constituted by the rear flap and the retractable panel, of so that the rear flap 712 is inserted between the front flaps and the cover.

Figures 19 to 22 show another variant of the sixth embodiment.

The packaging 810 according to this variant of the sixth embodiment successively comprises in the longitudinal direction of the form a retractable panel 814, a rear flap 812, a front flap 811 and a covering flap 830. Cross fold lines 826, 815, 825 delimit the successive shutters and panels between them.

The retractable panel 814 comprises, as in all the previous variants, a rectangular flange 813 and inside of it a pivoting panel 821 cut inside the retractable panel along lines 819 on three of its sides and having a line of folding 820 on its fourth side.

The retractable panel 813 is produced in the extension of the longitudinal cutouts 816 formed symmetrically in the rear flap 812. A longitudinal margin is thus produced on the longitudinal edges outside the cutouts 816. These longitudinal margins extend from the free end of the rear flap 812 to the free end of the cover flap 830 passing through the front flap 811. All or part of the margins on at least one of the faces of the form are pre-glued and for example in 817 on the longitudinal margins of one face of the front flap 811 and of the covering flap 830.

Unlike the other embodiments, the fold line 820 around which the panel 821 is pivotable does not coincide with the fold line 826 delimiting the retractable panel of the retaining tab defined by the rear flap 812. Similarly, the fold line 826 is not in alignment with the free end of the rear flap but at a certain distance inside the longitudinal limit of the rear flap.

A window 818 is formed astride the fold line 815 and it affects both the rear flap 812 and the front flap 811 and not the only front flap as in the embodiments described above. The transverse dimension of the window 818 is slightly greater than the width of the retractable panel 814 and in practice is identical to the spacing between the outer edges of the cutouts 816 in the rear flap 812. The window 818 constitutes two half windows 818A and 818B in the rear and front flaps respectively. At the free end of the covering flap 830 is provided a cutout 818C substantially identical to the half window 818B formed in the rear flap 812.

In order to assemble the form 810 of FIG. 19, three stages of folding are provided, as in the other variants of the sixth embodiment. However, in the present variant, the foldings are carried out around three parallel transverse fold lines 826, 815, 825 as shown in FIGS. 19 to 23.

In a first stage, the retractable panel 814 is folded around the fold line 826 in the direction indicated by the arrow Z in FIG. 19, at the position in FIG. 20. It will be noted in this position that the fold line 826 is offset inside the free end of the margins of the rear flap 812 and the free transverse edge of the rectangular flange 813 is disposed slightly inside the edge of the half window 818A.

During the second stage, the retractable panel 814 and the rear flap 812 are folded together around the fold line 815 passing through the window 818, in the direction indicated by the arrow A ′, in FIG. 20 towards the position represented in the FIG. 21. In this latter position, the free end of the margins of the rear flap are disposed slightly below the fold line 825 to facilitate further folding.

The third stage of folding is around the folding line 825 in the direction indicated by the arrow B ′ towards the closed or retracted position of the packaging, represented in FIG. 22. It will be noted that the free end of the retractable panel exceeds the free end of the margins of the front flap 811. Thanks to the half-window 818B on the visible side of the packaging in FIG. 22 and the half-window 818A and the cutout 818C on the other side invisible in FIG. 22, the end free of the pivoting panel is released and therefore can be grasped between the fingers of the user and pulled in the direction indicated by the arrow C ′, to advance the retractable panel to the deployed position shown in Figure 23. As in the other embodiments the drug tablet is adapted to be fixed to the flange 813 of the retractable panel. The position of the shelf will therefore be slightly cleared in the position for withdrawing the packaging 810 where the pivot panel 821 is flattened and inserted between the flaps 811 and 812.

This variant still offers good security against the deployment of the retractable panel by a young child. Indeed the user must grasp the end of the retractable panel between his fingers, pull in the direction of the arrow C ′ in FIG. 22 while tightening the front flaps 811 and the covering flaps 830 in his other hand.

The embodiment of Figures 19 to 23 allows great ease of assembly since all the maneuvers are accomplished by folding in the same direction and around parallel transverse fold lines.

To adapt this variant to the fifth embodiment, the covering flap should be eliminated; the free transverse end of the front flap may then have a cut according to the cut 818C or not.

Figures 24 and 25 show a development of the variant of Figure 17 but which can be adapted to any other variant.

The elements of this development are numbered in the 900 series and the last two digits correspond to those of the embodiment of Figure 17.

According to this development of the invention, two retractable panels 914, 914A are provided and the second 914A of these panels is arranged in continuity with the first 914 and delimited with respect thereto by a transverse fold line 940.

The construction of the first and second retractable panels 914, 914A is in every respect similar and the panels are arranged symmetrically around the fold line 940. Each pivoting panel 921, 921A is produced by cutting inside the flanges 913, 913A of the retractable panel 914, 914A along longitudinal cutting lines 919, 919A and delimited by a folding line 920, 920A. The fold line 920A is arranged adjacent to the free end of the retractable panel 914A and the corresponding fold line of the retractable panel 914 delimits the first retractable panel 914 of the rear flap. Other arrangements of the fold lines are possible to allow the pivoting of the pivoting panels 921, 921A in the same directions or in opposite directions.

The folding of the shape is similar to that of the embodiment of FIG. 17 with the difference that the second retractable panel 914A is first folded in the direction of the arrow D ′ around the folding line 940. Then the retractable panels are both folded around the fold line 920 in the direction of the arrow E ′ so that the second retractable panel is located opposite the rear flap 912. The flaps 912, 914, 914A are then folded around of the fold line in the direction indicated by the arrow F ′ so that the first retractable panel is located opposite the front flap 911 and therefore exposed through the oval window 918 closed by a cover 918a. The bonding area 917 for bonding the flange 913 corresponds to that of the first retractable panel 914. All of the flaps 911, 912, 914, 914A are then folded around the fold line delimiting the covering flap 930 and the front flap 911 in the direction indicated by the arrow G ′. Finally, the bonding area 917 on the free edge of the covering flap 930 is folded in the directions indicated by the arrow H ′ to bond the opposite flange 913 of the first retractable panel 914. Obviously the faces of the flanges 913, 913A adapted to be put one opposite the other can advantageously also be pre-glued.

A medication shelf 931 or other article to be packaged is inserted between the edges of the shrink panels 913, 913A before starting to fold down the flaps.

The operation of this packaging is similar to that of the preceding variants.

In Figure 25 is therefore visible the deployed position of the packaging of Figure 24 for illustrate the arrangement of the retractable panels 921, 921A on either side of the medication tablet 931. Since the pivoting panel 921A of the second retractable panel must go around bubbles in the plastic sheet 932 housing the tablets 933 or the like, its end free is slightly receding from the free edge of the pivoting panel 921 if the retractable panels 914, 914A are of the same length.

Thanks to the arrangement of the pivoting panels 921, 921A, four faces can bear inscriptions in particular on the dosage of the drug.

Many other variants are of course possible, both in terms of the shapes and dimensions of the packaging as a whole, and in terms of the shapes and dimensions of the window allowing access to the retractable panel (s). .

Similarly, the retaining tab can be of any shape and size and can for example be reinforced, as well as the pivoting panel.

It should be noted that the packaging according to the invention has a large printing surface, which can however be increased by fixing on the rear of the pivoting panel (s), a folded sheet offering a surface of additional impression. Such a folded sheet does not have the drawbacks of a traditional information sheet, since it is fixed, and does not in any way hinder the closing of the packaging.

Of course, the present invention has been described as serving as packaging for articles such as medicaments, but can also allow the packaging of any type of article, whether or not packaged separately on a rigid shelf. It should be noted that the larger the cutouts 416, 516, 616, 716, 816, 916 made in the front flap, the more they make it possible to produce a retaining tab with large dimensions and therefore more solid, this however by preventing the complete retraction of the retractable panel 414, 514, 614, 714, 814, 914 so that it remains retained in the packaging according to the invention.

According to the embodiment shown in Figures 26 to 29 the packaging 1010 according to the invention, comprises on the one hand a front flap 1011 and a rear flap 1012 separated by a fold line 1025, and on the other hand two retractable panels 1014 and 1014A separated by a fold line 1020. Each retractable panel comprises a pivoting panel 1021 and 1021A, and a flange 1013, 1013A. Each pivoting panel is connected to the retractable panel with which it is associated according to a fold line 1050, 1050A.

It should be noted that in the context of this embodiment, the assembly formed by the two retractable panels is separated from the assembly formed by the front flap and the rear flap.

Each front and rear flap is provided with an opening 1040, 1040A and a gripping recess 1018, 1018A. Fixing tabs 1015 are provided on either side of one of the front or rear flaps. The openings 1040, 1040A are such that their length D is slightly greater than the width b of the pivoting panels 1021, 1021A.

The assembly of such packaging is carried out as described below.

The two retractable panels are folded towards each other by folding around the fold line 1020 (arrow L ′ figure 22). The edges of these two panels are fixed to each other, for example by gluing.

Each of the pivoting panels is then detached from the retractable panel which carries it. The free end of each of these panels is subsequently introduced into the opening 1040, 1040A (Figure 27). The front and rear flaps are then folded one towards each other by pivoting around the fold line 1025 (arrow K ′ Figures 26 and 27). The fixing tabs 1015 are folded towards the inside of the packaging so as to allow the front flap to be fixed to the rear flap. The retractable panel is pushed back completely inside the packaging. In this position it should be noted that the free ends of each of the pivoting panels pass through and exceed the openings 1040, 1040A, without however covering the recesses 1018, 1018A. Obviously an article is fixed, before folding, on the edges 1013, 1013A of the retractable panels, and more particularly between these edges.

When using such a packaging, it suffices to pull on the end of the retractable panels 1014, 1014A, accessible thanks to the recesses 1018, 1018A, to partially remove the retractable panel from the packaging. In doing so, each of the pivoting panels 1021, 1021A progressively deviates from the general plane of the packaging, during the longitudinal displacement of the pivoting panel in the openings 1040, 1040A, as a function of the position of the fold line 1050, 1050A relative to the edge. of this opening. When the edge of the openings 1040, 1040A comes into contact with the fold line 1050, 1050A, the deployment of the retractable panel is stopped. A means for retaining the retractable panel has thus been produced which also acts as a means for automatic opening of each of the pivoting panels during the longitudinal movement of the edge of the retractable panel with respect to the front and rear flaps.

Material is saved since all the panels and shutters constituting the packaging are obtained in a strip of cardboard or similar materials, of constant width. The retractable panels are separated from the front and rear flaps once all of the cutouts and fold lines have been made.

It should be noted that the fixing tabs 1015 can be provided both on the front flap and / or on the rear flap and can have any shape and size.

Of course as a variant, the packaging according to the invention can be provided with only a single opening 1040 on one of the front or rear flaps and / or produce openings 1040, 1040A of any shape and size in relation to the shape and the dimension of the retractable panels which slide inside.

Similarly, it is possible to produce an access window to the retractable panel as has been described in the context of the preceding embodiments.

It is also possible to provide the openings 1040, 1040A with lids and to ensure that when the packaging is used for the first time, the pivoting panels detach each of the lids and thus release the openings 1040, 1040A. In this case it is necessary, before the first use, to ensure that the free end of each of the pivoting panels is aligned with the opening 1040, 1040A with which it is associated.

It should be noted that the retractable panels have a width slightly less than the width of the front and rear flaps so that they can slide inside.

This embodiment is also advantageous, since the number of folds is reduced compared to the embodiments previously described.

Of course, it is possible to provide all the openings or recesses according to any of the embodiments of the present invention with lids intended to be removed during the first use. This produces packaging with greater security vis-à-vis its opening by unauthorized persons (children).

Similarly, the packaging thus produced may or may not have a certain thickness, so as to be able to accommodate larger items. In this case, the packaging according to the invention is advantageously provided with a flap serving as a "cover" for the assembly, so as to close the thickness of said packaging. Such a flap has a double function, namely it protects the article (security), it closes the packaging (aesthetic). The packaging according to the invention however has dimensions such that it is easy to hold a user. It is also possible, so as to save the material in which a package according to the fifth and sixth embodiment is manufactured, to produce a shape in which the covering flap is placed under the front flap and not next to it. The fold line between these two flaps is then moved accordingly. It is thus possible by using a constant width of material to manufacture the shapes, to produce packaging without loss of material during subsequent cutting. Indeed each future packaging can be placed upside down compared to that which precedes it.

Of course, many variants are possible without departing from the scope of the present invention, for example the pivoting panel can equally be produced on the front face or on the rear face of the retractable panel.

Claims (26)
