Description

The invention relates to a gripper arrangement on sheet-processing machines, in particular sheet-fed offset printing machines according to the preamble of the main claim.

In the known embodiments of this type (DE-A-37 36 808), the grippers are fastened to a gripper shaft which carries a roller lever, the terminal roller of which rests on the outer edge of the curve segment; the gripper spring pulls this roller into the contact position and is attached at the other end to an opposite roller which bears against the equidistantly running inner curve of the curve segment and is seated on a roller arm rigidly extending from the gripper rocker arm. The cam segment itself can be pivoted against spring loading, the pivoting movement being controlled by a feeler roller that rolls on a cam disk, preferably sitting coaxially with the associated drum of the sheet-guiding machine. The configurations in this regard reduce the vibrations occurring in the gripper system and therefore reduce associated register differences; however, they are not suitable for optimally fulfilling all the essential requirements that occur with high-speed, high-performance printing presses. This, in particular - as has been found - not because the gripper spring itself has to be moved in accordance with the high-speed rhythm of these machines, whereby not only its mass, but also the displacement in space transverse to the spring force plays a significant role.

Another known embodiment (DE-C-644 080) shows a different control of the grippers, in which the grippers are not are closed by a spring load, but controlled by a rigid curve segment, which is actuated by another curve to close the grippers.

The object of the present invention is to design a generic gripper arrangement in such a way that it has a simplified design and can also be used on high-performance machines.

This is achieved by the invention specified in the characterizing part of the main claim. The subclaims represent advantageous developments.

As a result of this configuration, a gripper arrangement is created on sheet-processing machines, in particular sheet-fed offset printing presses, in which the springs and spring bars loading the grippers, with storage as a mass, do not have to be moved together with the gripper rocker. The grippers no longer receive their spring load from springs arranged directly on the gripper rocker, but rather from the spring load of the cam segment. Without increasing the weight of the gripper rocker, it is also possible to accommodate large springs with the most favorable adaptation of the desired characteristics. In addition to the fact that the grippers can easily work in a rhythm adapted to the highest number of revolutions, there is also a considerable reduction in any natural vibrations of the system formed from the grippers and support. A constructively favorable solution for the positive spring load control of the grippers is provided by the link cam control proposed according to the invention in this regard. The three arms extending from a central shaft for the cam segment on the one hand and the introduction of force of the load springs on the other hand or for the feeler roller result in a kinematically and spatially advantageous division of the overall arrangement.

Further advantages and details result from the following description of an embodiment of the invention according to the following drawings. Of these, the show

in schematic side view the corresponding gripper arrangement in two different positions and
Fig. 3
an idealized longitudinal section to FIG. 2 in the region of the shaft of the curve segment.

The gripper rocker 1 can be moved back and forth about the axis 2. It carries the gripper support 3 with the grippers 4 arranged movably for this purpose. The gripper shaft 5 continues via the gripper shaft 5 into an arm 6 which carries a control roller 7 at the free end. This runs in a link curve 8 of a curve segment 9. The control edges 8 ′ and 8 ″ of the link curve 8 are equidistant from one another and run concentrically to the center of the axis 2.

Umgekehrt steuert die gegenteilige Kontur der Kurvenscheibe 16 über die Tastrolle 15 die Greifer 4 in die Offenstellung gemäß Fig. 1.The curve segment 9 is seated on an arm 10 which is arranged on a shaft 11 in a rotationally fixed manner. The latter rests in the machine frame cheeks 12 and carries on its one end projecting above it 11 'the lever arms 13 and 14. At the free end of the lever arm 13 sits a sensing roller 15. This runs on a cam disc 16, which is preferably arranged coaxially to one of the drum axes of the sheet processing machine. The other lever arm 14 is under the action of the compression springs 17. These are assigned the nuts 18. The load on the compression springs 17 is such that the feeler roller 15 is forced in the bearing position to the cam disk 16 and the cam segment 9 is loaded in the direction of the arrow x. As a result of this direction of loading in the direction of the arrow x, a spring load pointing in the closing direction of the grippers 4 is transmitted to the latter by means of the control roller 7 when the feeler roller 15 releases the shaft 11 for appropriate rotation in the direction of the arrow x by means of the corresponding shape of the cam disk 16. Conversely, the opposite contour of the cam disk 16 controls the grippers 4 into the open position according to FIG. 1 via the feeler roller 15.

As can be seen from FIG. 2, the gripper takes over, for example, a sheet B which arrives in the direction of arrow P and is transferred by it to a gripper G of a drum T.
