Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent wear and deflection of the drum shaft and the swing shaft by means of cam levers provided on the drum shaft of the swing gripper driving device for the printing press so as to be connected slidably to the swing lever with a rod and a spring means provided between the cam lever in such a manner that they are urged to be brought closer to each other.
CONSTITUTION: The swing gripper drive gear for the printing press so designed that leaf paper fed from the paper feeder is delivered to the printing drum is provided on the drum shaft 11 with cam levers 34 and 36 to be oscillated by a pair of cams 31 and 32 facing both sides of the cams. The cam levers 34 and 36 are connected to a swing lever 16 provided somewhere therebetween with rods 40 and 42 each while one rod 42 is formed to be free to slide with respect to the cam lever 36. A spring means is provided between the cam levers so as to charge thereof to bring the oscillating end thereof closer to each other. Thus, the force working on the drum shaft 11 and the swing shaft 3 is reduced substantially while the play of the inserted parts thereof is invariably deviated to one side thereby preventing wear of the shafts.
