Abstract

Moderne Kraftfahrzeuge sind mit einer Vielzahl von Fahrzeugsensoren ausgestattet, die als Teil eines oder mehrerer Fahrzeug-Assistenzsysteme dazu dienen, die den Fahrer beim Steuern des Kraftfahrzeugs zu unterstützen. Von erheblicher Bedeutung sind dabei Sensorsysteme, die das Vorfeld des Kraftfahrzeugs überwachen. Zu derartigen Sensoren zählen etwa optische Kameras sowie Infrarot- und Radar-Sensoren zur Fahrbahn- und Hindernis-Erkennung. Diese Art von Sensoren sind typischerweise am Kühlergrill des Fahrzeugs angeordnet, so dass ihre Wirkrichtung auf das Vorfeld des Kraftfahrzeugs ausgerichtet werden kann. Um zu vermeiden, dass durch derartige Sensoren das Design und, damit verbunden, das äußere optische Erscheinungsbild des Kraftfahrzeugs gemindert wird, sind derartige Sensoren oftmals im Bereich eines am Kühlergrill vorgesehen Zierteils angeordnet, welches typischerweise das Markenemblem des Fahrzeugherstellers wiedergibt. Die Platzierung der Sensoren kann dabei in der Regel derart erfolgen, dass sie vom Zierteil teilweise abgedeckt werden. In diesem Fall bleiben sie wie gewünscht vor den Blicken eines Betrachter des Fahrzeugs weitgehend oder sogar vollständig verborgen; andererseits kann durch eine teilweise Abdeckung sichergestellt werden, dass die ordnungsgemäße Funktionsweise nicht gefährdet wird.Modern motor vehicles are equipped with a variety of vehicle sensors which serve as part of one or more vehicle assistance systems to assist the driver in controlling the motor vehicle. Dieses Zierteil kann ein Markenemblem des Fahrzeugherstellers enthalten, so dass ein Betrachter des Kraftfahrzeugs dieses dem Hersteller zuordnen kann. Der Kühlergrill kann vorzugsweise gitterartig ausgebildet sein.
