Abstract
"SISTEMA DE CRIO-ABLAçãO MODULAR E MéTODO PARA EXECUTAR ABLAçãO ENDOMéTRICA". Um sistema de crio-ablação incluindo uma cânula tendo uma extremidade proximal, uma extremidade distal, e um eixo longitudinal, um balão expansível se estendendo da extremidade distal da cânula e fluidicamente conectado a uma fonte de fluido de transferência de calor por pelo menos um trajeto de fluido, uma bomba para circular o fluido de transferência de calor para dentro e para fora do balão, um cabo de sonda acoplado à extremidade proximal da cânula e em comunicação fluida com o balão através da cânula, e um trocador de calor para variar a temperatura do fluido de transferência de calor, onde o trocador de calor é fluidicamente conectado a uma fonte de refrigerante secundária. O trocador de calor pode é posicionado dentro do cabo de sonda, dentro da cânula, ou pelo menos parcialmente dentro do balão. O fluido de transferência de calor deste sistema de crio-ablação tem, de preferência, um ponto de congelamento menor do que cerca de -110<198>C e um ponto de ebulição maior do que cerca de 50<198>C.
