Patente de Invenção: <B>"PROCESSO PARA A PREPARAçãO SEM PRESSãO DE áCIDO ALFA, ALFA-DIMETILFENILACéTICO A PARTIR DE ALFA, ALFA-DIMETILBENZILCIANETO"<D>. é descrito um processo para a obtenção de ácido alfa, alfa-dimetilfenilacético, em que o alfa, alfa-dimetilbenzilcianeto é reagido na presença de hidróxido de sódio, água, um C~ 4~- e/ou C~ 5~-álcool em temperaturas superiores a 100°C e o ácido alfa, alfa-dimetilfenilacético é obtido por acidificação.
