Abstract

Un proceso para la preparacion de acroleína y ácido acrílico mediante la oxidacion catalítica en fase de vapor del propileno como oxígeno molecular o un gas que contiene oxígeno molecular en la presencia de un catalizador de oxidacion que contiene mO, Bi y Fe como los componentes esenciales en un reactor multi-tubular de lecho fijo, caracterizado por a) usar dos o más catalizadores diferentes soportados entre sí en actividad y preparados mediante la modificacion de la operacion de quemado empleada en la produccion del catalizador, b) dividir el reactor tubular en la direccion axial para formar dos o más zonas catalíticas, y c) arreglar los catalizadores soportados de tal manera que se incremente la actividad en la direccion axial del reactor tubular desde el lado de entrada del gas de alimentacion hacia el lado de salida del mismo. De acuerdo al proceso, se puede evitar la aparicion de una porcion caliente y se puede preparar la acroleína y el ácido acrílico de manera estable durante un tiempo prolongado.
