Contribuciones de la economía solidaria al desarrollo local: el caso del altiplano norte del departamento de Antioquia

Abstract
El objetivo del artículo es dar a conocer las contribuciones de la economía solidaria al desarrollo local del altiplano norte de Antioquia, Colombia. La metodología aplicada se planteó a partir de una perspectiva mixta: desde la etnografía para interpretar y analizar la narrativa de los cooperativistasy líderes de la región, y desde lo cuantitativo para registrar las contribuciones de las organizaciones cooperativistas a los residentes de la localidad. El principal resultado establece que la economía solidaria en coherencia con sus principios ha contribuido a través de las cooperativas, como principal organización representativa del sector solidario en los municipios, al mejoramiento de las condiciones de vida de muchas personas residentes en las localidades, sin embargo aún no se ha constituido como una alternativa de desarrollo, entendido este como un concepto integral que vincula las dimensiones económica, política, social y cultural.
