Desarrollo financiero y crecimiento económico en Venezuela: un modelo econométrico para el período 1963-2008

Abstract
Resumen: La relación entre desarrollo financiero y crecimiento económico es un tema de análisis en muchos estudios a nivel mundial. El desarrollo financiero es una condición necesaria más no suficiente que influye en el crecimiento de las economías. En el presente trabajo se realiza un análisis conjunto y empírico de la relación existente entre desarrollo financiero y crecimiento económico en Venezuela para el período 1963-2008. Mediante la utilización de un modelo econométrico, los resultados muestran principalmente una relación positiva entre los indicadores de desarrollo financiero y los indicadores de crecimiento económico, elaborados a partir de data económica y financiera disponibles.
