Brandon Barnes (Japanese: ブレンダン・バーンズ Brandon Barnes) is a friend and butler of Sanjeev Denis in the game Detective Pikachu Returns.

Detective Pikachu Returns
Brandon is introduced at the start of the game during Tim's first major case investigating the theft of the Aurora Drop. Barnes is the butler of the Denis Residence, and a close friend to Sanjeev Denis, having known him before Sanjeev had met his wife Claudia. Barnes is suspected by the police and Brad as the primary culprit for the theft of the precious jewel as he would have had access to the key from Sanjeev's Growlithe and had no alibi at the time of the incident.
Barnes is later cleared after Tim and Pikachu's investigations implicate Larry, a newly appointed staff at the residence, as the thief of the Aurora Drop.
Personality and characteristics
Brandon is loyal to Sanjeev and appears to be a close confidant of Sanjeev, having known about Sanjeev's intentions to donate the Aurora Drop. It is noted that Barnes will often side with Sanjeev when mediating between Sanjeev and his wife Claudia. He is formal in his manner of speech, but can also be passionate when talking about his partner Ducklett.
