Fortier (Democratic Party, Working Families Party, Independent Party) ran for re-election to the Connecticut House of Representatives to represent District 79. She won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Mary Fortier was born in Bristol, Connecticut. She earned a bachelor's degree from Boston College in 1983 and a J.D. from Western New England Law School in 1995. Her professional experience includes working as an attorney with the State of Connecticut, Judiciary Branch.[1]

|An attorney with more than 20 years' experience, Mary Fortier was born and raised in Bristol, Connecticut. A graduate of St. Paul Catholic High School, she received her bachelor's from Boston College, and as a young mother graduated from Western New England Law School in 1995. Mary is the senior member of the Bristol City Council, was first elected in 2013 and later served as the first female acting-mayor in 2017. She serves as an attorney with the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch, and with her husband, David, has raised six children.
