Martin McLaughlin
Martin McLaughlin (Republican Party) (also known as Marty) is a member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing District 52. He assumed office on January 13, 2021. His current term ends on January 13, 2027.
McLaughlin (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Illinois House of Representatives to represent District 52. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Martin McLaughlin earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1987. McLaughlin's career experience includes owning an investment advisory firm.[1][2]

|Martin McLaughlin is the Village President of Barrington Hills, a small businessman and a financial expert specializing in pension management. He has reduced the size of government in his local community and reformed out-of-control spending. He has lowered the village's tax levy for six out of his seven years in office, for a total reduction of 24%. He is also an active member of the community, serving as chairman of the Barrington Area Council of Governments and participating as a member of the Executive Board of the Barrington Lions Club. Martin also spends time coaching girls travel softball for the Cary Trojans. Martin earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Illinois Wesleyan University. He and his wife Kathleen have been married for 28 years, and have 5 daughters, aged 26 through 13.
