On John Mayall's Turning Point album from 1970 there is a great sax solo on the 12 minute cut California. John played with a lot of different people in his day. Jon Mark and Johnny Almond appear on this one. The sax work on this is awesome!

That was a *great* one.
I remember it like it was yesterday.
I saw Mayall back in '74. I think he was drunk, but I heard he got sober later on in his life. I just googled him and see he is still alive and well. Good for him.

The tenor solo in Take The 'A' Train is classic, great tune with some good piano licks also.
