Should I pressure wash this deck?

This is my deck. It’s unfinished pine and partly shaded so it gets a film of black grunge. I’m wary of pressure washing because I’m afraid it will look patchy and weird afterward. Maybe I should scrub it by hand with detergent and a little bleach? Or what? Please advise.

New showerhead won't drain

We have a tub/shower with a spigot-knob (diverter) you pull up to turn the shower on. The knob doesn't usually drop when you turn the water off, but if you tap it down, the residual water/pressure in the shower pipes would drain out the spigot. After replacing our shower head, that is no longer the case. This leads to very slow drips as the water drains out. How can I fix this ? [more inside]

I graduated college last year with a degree in the science field. I have long had a passing interest in the healthcare field, and have had familial pressure to "become a doctor" even longer. It goes without saying that I decided to take an entry-level job related to healthcare. However, the more I see of healthcare, the less I like what I see, and the more I am reconsidering my future plans. The sources of the familial pressure, in turn, are getting more aggressive. Can companies demand employees sign a severance agreement for last pay?

A good friend left a company I work with under weird circumstances and said he's not allowed to discuss it the terms of his severance, but seems really unhappy and bitter about it. Through the comments of other people at the company, I strongly suspect that the "severance" he had to sign a nondisclosure agreement for is actually only pay he was legally owed - pay for his unused vacation time and reimbursements for authorized expenses while on the job. If this is true, was it legal for them to demand this in exchange for cutting him his last check? Bonus: what is his legal recourse if this happened some time ago? [more inside]
