2024 Stadium Club Blaster

2024 Stadium ClubPaul Skenes is the presumptive National League Rooke of the Year.  Amazing rookie season for Skenes who was 11-3 with 1.96 ERA and 170 strikeouts over 133 innings.  The Rookie of the Year awards will be announced on November 18.
I enjoy this year's design.  The last name and player position stand out on a colored background with the first name in the foil we're used to in Stadium Club.
Great photo here which we have come to expect with this brand.  I'll point out the "team collation" in this box was crazy skewed.  Here's the breakdown:  Yankees – 10  Rangers – 7  Mets – 6  Orioles – 5  Braves – 4  Diamondbacks - 3.  28 of my 40 cards were from those first four teams.  25% were Yankees alone.  Maybe I don't bring it up if 10 of my cards are Braves or Red Sox but for 17 to be Mets and Yankees makes it tough.

We love our retired greats.  Sixteen in this pack which is a win.  I really like that Mike Schmidt card.  The full beard wasn't a look we saw from him much.  Fun Matsui card as well.
The inserts aren't bad.  I like Special Forces.  Still a bit bright for this brand but I'm okay with it.  You get one Chrome in each blaster pack.  Great Corbin Carroll photo.  I don't like the Chief Fantasy Professionals insert name but it's okay.
This Chrome Green Refractor parallel comes 1:32 blaster packs.
The backs are fine.  Plenty of color and most info we want sans stats for each season.
My Sepia insert.  The name and logo are green foil which best I can tell is standard for these.
I pulled six of these Red Foil parallels.
I really like this Ozzie Albies photo.
Fun box of cards even with the heavy New York presence.  I'll look for more of these.

2023 Stadium Club Blaster

2023 Stadium Club:  Playoffs start TODAY!  Jose Altuve and the Astros know a lot about the playoffs.  Altuve is having a good year and Houston will try to get back to the ALCS for the 8th straight time.  That's crazy to even consider a team has gone to the Championship Series seven straight times in this day and age.
You flip that bat Manny Machado.  He and the Padres had a good year and will be in the playoffs as a wild card.  I somehow bought this box in June but never posted it but it feels very appropriate for today.
Playoffs, playoffs, playoffs.  All three of these teams will be in the post season.  I'm good with the design though it's a bit bland.  But when you want to show off the photos I get it.
All three of these are good looking cards.  The Jeter action shot is great but there's something about that Eric Davis shot I really like too.
Bo played in the 1993 playoffs with the Whites Sox in the ALCS but lost to eventual World Series champion Toronto.
I'm not a fan of the inserts.  They feel really out of place.  The photos like "standard" picture compared to the Stadium Club standard and the backgrounds do nothing for me.
A great photo which really is the hallmark of Stadium Club.
The backs are good.  They hit the marks with colors, logos, photo, and the expected filler.
Master Photos aren't my thing.  Not the standard size of a card so they are tough inclusions into the collection.  This really was a good box though.  Plenty of stars, great photos including this Thurman Munson take, and plenty of variety in terms of current players and retired greats.

Random Wax: 2022 Topps Stadium Club Blaster

2022 Stadium Club: I'm an Eric Davis fan so these are always fun to pull.  My second Davis pull from 2022 Stadium Club.
Bogaerts is no longer a Red Sox but I still appreciate him for the great seasons he gave Boston. Fun photo and the photography is what we come to enjoy with Stadium Club.
Really good Bo Bichette photo.  He's struggling this season and there were even some rumors he could be traded.  Sean Murphy is with the Braves now while JD Martinez is now a Met.
Bobby Witt Jr. is killing it this season and will be in contention for MVP.  He also came close to winning the home run derby this year.
Team of the Future inserts seem out of place with that design.  Stadium Club is a basic design and those are not.  The Triumvirates Die-Cut is the same.
Nice photo allowing us to see Clayton Kershaw all stretched out during his delivery.
Love the retired greats in this set.  That Joe Carter is a Red Parallel.
I don't really appreciate these but Mookie is always a good pull.
Feels like Stadium Club could do inserts more in line with the product design.  Again, this one goes away from that though I do like the look.
Great timing on the photo.
Another guy having a great year.
The Ivan Castillo is a Sepia Parallel.  Sepia parallels don't do much for me.  I do love Dave Stewart and this photo.  Fun box of cards.

Random Wax: 2022 Stadium Club Blaster

2022 Stadium Club:  Stadium Club is always fun as is Bo Jackson.  Love this photo of him and his 1989 All-Star Game trophy.  Great smile and love remembering how good he was.
We love the photos, right?  We don't get the stock photos we're used with other sets and these are too cool like that Freddie Freeman.
Even simple photos like this pop more on Stadium Club.
Lars Nootbaar is the standout amongst these three.  He batted .276 and had 14 home runs for the second year in a row.

That CJ Abrams is a Black & White parallel.  Not that excited about either of the two inserts.
The inserts actually feel out of place in this set.  This Power Zone has a nice look to it.
These Master Photos don't do anything for me.
Red Parallel.
Love seeing Dansby Swanson in a Braves uni.  Still not fun knowing he's a Cub.
What a photo!
The inclusion of retired greats is one of the reasons to love this set.  This was a fun box.  Good pull and plenty to enjoy.

Random Wax: 2022 Stadium Club Blaster

2023 Stadium ClubFernando Tatis, back this season after injuries and a suspension took away his 2022 season, he had an ok year but like the Padres as a whole had a disappointing season.

These Master Photos inserts aren't something I care much for.  Odd ball size and just doesn't do it for me.
The fun with this set is all about the photos and this design lets them shine.
Again, consistently good photography.  And retired greats which are always fun.
Team of the Future cards don't resonate with me.  Seem out of place in this brand.  Love that emotion from Chris Sale.
The die-cut Triumvirates insert isn't a bad looking card if you like due cuts.
Torkelson had a breakout season with 31 homers and 94 runs batted in even if he did hit .233.
Fun photo of The Kid and his pop.
Retired greats shine in this set as well.
Plenty of horizontal offerings.
The Sepia Parallel on that Ryan card.
Fun cards and a good design are always a good thing.  Nice box of cards.
