Yes, these are just obsolete galleries that I forgot to delete. I had similar issues too. As far as I understand, wikitech connects to Commons differently from other projects, so it takes longer to load images, and sometimes page loading fails.

@JeanFred: is there a chance that it will be fixed for ErfgoedBot?
Dec 19 2020
Changing to Resolved, because the database is working fine now

Thanks for the patch! Does it mean that it will be applied only on October 20? Is there a way to fix the bug earlier? Thousands of people are using Upload Wizard now due to the ongoing Wiki Loves Monuments...
Aug 10 2020
In the last few days, it became impossible to dismiss the site notice on projects like ru.wikivoyage.org and ru.wikimedia.org. Is this problem related to the current issue? Is it temporary, or needs special attention?
Jun 11 2020
We figured it out that the indicators were hidden behind bodyContent, and fixed the problem by setting {z-index: 2} for .mw-indicators. However, it is still unclear what caused this problem and whether our solution is optimal in this case.
We were able to fix it, although it's still unclear what changed the default font-size in .wpb-banner-toc
Note that this problem appeared simultaneously with T255118

This time it failed for ru: only. Could anyone take a look, please?
May 18 2019
Thanks for fixing it so quickly! So far we have no further complains from the uploaders.

It seems that this problem appears for large files exceeding 10 Mb. Our participants report that they are able to upload the files after compressing them to below 10 Mb.
@Aklapper: for example, this file https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Сунцовский_вяз.jpg caused the problem but could be eventually uploaded after several failed attempts

Same problem again...
Apr 12 2019
I am re-opening this task, because the same thing happened again. Many of the countries "lost" all their monuments.
Mar 8 2019
Yes, it seems to be OK now. Thanks to all for your quick response!

@Aklapper: my (stupid) mistake... Thank you for directing me to the right thread!
Just wanted to mention that some questions by the Wikivoyage community pend response here:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Talk:Community_Tech/Deprecation_of_RelatedSites_extension
It would be nice if any of the developers enter the discussion. Thank you!
Wikivoyage community has serious concerns about this proposal
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Talk:Community_Tech/Deprecation_of_RelatedSites_extension
but in the last 5 days we have not got any response from the developers. So I would say that this should be put on hold until someone has time to analyze the situation and talk to the community.

@Jdlrobson, it worked for us. Thanks! I think that this task can be closed.
@Jdlrobson, thank you for your detailed response! I guess we can live with the same setting as English Wikivoyage, but we would like to place the map and GPX icons on the same line as the geographical navigation. Could you advise us on how to do this in the current setting? I see this is done in English Wikivoyage somehow, but I don't really understand how. They put the icons into <indicator name="i3-geo">, but I don't see where it is defined. Thank you!

@Slaporte, thank you. It would be interesting to know why only CC-0 data are allowed in the Data namespace. However, the most pressing question for editors is how to accommodate OpenStreetMap data on Commons. If they are completely excluded from the Data namespace, the whole thing becomes largely useless.

I am also not quite sure that I understood the request, but I second Yaroslav's choice. It's a gorgeous photo!
Yaroslav, have you already found something, or should I look into it?
Sep 4 2017
@LilyOfTheWest Yaroslav will provide you with additional details. From my side, I would ask you to make an announcement in the mailing list and ask national organizers to add brief information about the banner award on their landing pages. I reached a few organizers personally, and they put such information on their landing pages, but many of the countries could not be reached.
Aug 29 2017
@LilyOfTheWest I replaced the second banner per your suggestion. I kept Yosemite, because it appears before we even talk about cultural heritage.
Aug 28 2017
I am just wondering what 'Declined' means in this context. Do you think that the problem does not exist?
Aug 25 2017
Dear Leila,
Nov 25 2016
Well, that's exactly the point. As long as the language team has no explicit argument why this feature is needed in Wikivoyage, it should be switched off by default.
Well, it is actionable, but the language team does everything to oppose the action requested by the community. Let me just remind you that a similar request was submitted as T138524 for Russian Wikivoyage. The language team gave the same vague answer claiming that they did study the issue in detail, although in fact they did not even bother about the existence of Wikivoyage as a Wikimedia project. Then, as you say, the request was "declined", and we had to introduce our own patch that disabled compact language links completely. Eventually we forced the language team to change their opinion for Russian Wikivoyage. The community of English Wikivoyage was less persistent (or, more likely, did not know exactly what to do). Therefore, they have to live with this feature, although they don't like it too. It's kind of bizarre that the community has to war with the developers, but that's how it is.
Nov 9 2016
This is from his e-mail from August 12. And he first reported the problem on August 8
Another thing that I found in e-mails from this user is the following message that appears when he tries to send an e-mail through wiki:
What result does it provide? What does it say when he clicks the link? Does he receive an error?
Sep 20 2016
I think we can close this thread because no compromise solution is going to be found. Running WLM on Commons with a direct opposition from the Commons community is very weird, but doable.
Sep 18 2016
Hedwig, let me remind you that fair use entails the actual use of images in the main namespace. Blind transfer of unused images will violate this basic principle. It is very unlikely to gain any support anywhere.
Sep 16 2016
A small remark from my side: last year we promised that, should the non-free images stay intact until November 1, we will support Commons in image categorization and in making a list of non-free photos for eventual deletion. And we did this.
Aug 30 2016
Is there any time frame for this request? I mean, it is a straight-forward problem, which seems to worry the user a lot. He will simply stop contributing Wikimedia projects if this problem is not solved. Can someone go to the database and set "e-mail address confirmed" manually?
Aug 26 2016
Aug 21 2016
Yes, it would be a very natural solution
Aug 16 2016
I can give some further information related to this bug. Apparently, Karographer has some problem when reading a page with multiple maplink commands. What we do is the following:
It is highly desirable to solve this problem ASAP, because it affects all pages on Russian Wikivoyage
Aug 12 2016
I re-open this task, because there are problems with maps in the collapsible environment again. Check, for example:
Jul 28 2016
@Dereckson: what do you mean? We asked to disable CLL as default setting and make it optional for registered users. This has been done, and we are happy with the current situation. However, it was not clear to me whether this solution is final.
Jul 16 2016
@Urbanecm: I confirm that this patch does not work, and I second Kusurija's question. It is highly relevant to this thread.
Jul 14 2016
@Liuxinyu970226: Wikivoyage has 17 language versions altogether, so the number of interwiki links *never* exceeds 16.
Jul 12 2016
@matmarex: is it a recent change in the Upload Wizard? I am here only because of the discussion at
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons_talk:Wiki_Loves_Earth_2016#Category:Media_with_erroneous_locations
Jul 11 2016
@Amire80: thank you for your detailed response. However, I disagree with most of the points that you made:
Jul 10 2016
Yes, it is the same thing as in T138524, but for a different language version of Wikivoyage. I would like to re-iterate that this feature is not needed for a small project like Wikivoyage.
Jul 9 2016
- User interface will not be affected. It will be just more simple and straight-forward without this feature.
Jul 8 2016
The validation of geographical coordinates would be good to add. Wrongly formatted coordinates generate a lot of problems during massive uploads, such as Wiki Loves Earth/Monuments contests.
Jul 5 2016
I am wondering what holds this change. The new feature has been introduced without community consensus (in fact, without even asking the community). The community is strongly against it, so the Compact Language Links feature must be disabled.

@Yurik: do you mean that you need png-files for different marker sizes? Can one simply run the same script against other svg files?
Ah, now I understand. It will be in effect on April 12...
@Yurik: I tried it here:
https://ru.wikivoyage.org/wiki/User:Atsirlin/maps
and it does not work. Does the software need more time to update?
Apr 2 2016
Yes, it is still an issue. Just go to https://tools.wmflabs.org/wlm-maps, pick up any object in Russia or Ukraine, and click on the monument ID.
Apr 1 2016
@Atsirlin Could you nominate the russian wikipedia page for deletion as no longer needed? (It is currently a redirect to a deleted page)
Then this page does not exist indeed. It can be created on Russian Wikivoyage with the name you mentioned (Культурное наследие России/Проблемные изображения), but will it be any different from:
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Cultural_heritage_monuments_in_Russia_with_bad_IDs
where images without id are placed??
@Lokal_Profil: putnik created the following page for unused images
https://ru.wikivoyage.org/wiki/Неиспользуемые_изображения
