- step S12B the EMS controller 160 transmits a GET command that does not include the version information of the EMS controller 160 to the device 500.
- step S13B since the version information of the EMS controller 160 is not included in the GET command, the device 500 cannot determine in which version the GET command is defined. Therefore, the device 500 does not execute the command, that is, does not transmit the GET response command. The device 500 may send error information to the EMS controller 160.
- step S21 the corresponding version of the EMS controller 160 is updated from the first version to the second version.
- the EMS controller 160 may manage commands defined in the second version and continue managing commands defined in the first version.

May be obtained by the input of an operator or the like.
- the EMS controller 160 transmits a command including version information indicating a corresponding version of the EMS controller 160 to the device 500. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce problems caused by the corresponding version of the device 500 being different from the corresponding version of the EMS controller 160 (for example, improper interpretation of the meaning of the code value included in the command). .

Can do. Therefore, the command may not include the version information of the EMS controller 160.
- the EMS controller 160 detects a predetermined timing.
- the predetermined timing is at least one of a timing at which a corresponding version of the EMS controller 160 is updated and a periodic timing.

- a command here, an INF command
- the EMS controller 160 confirms whether or not the device 500 is compatible with the corresponding version of the EMS controller 160 at the first timing.
- the device 500 checks with the EMS controller 160 at the second timing whether or not the EMS controller 160 can support the corresponding version of the device 500.
- the first timing is at least one of a timing at which a corresponding version of the EMS controller 160 is updated and a periodic timing.
- the second timing is at least one of a timing at which a corresponding version of the device 500 is updated and a periodic timing.
- the EMS controller 160 detects the first timing.
- the first timing is at least one of a timing at which a corresponding version of the EMS controller 160 is updated and a periodic timing.
- step S42 the EMS controller 160 transmits to the device 500 a version confirmation request for confirming whether or not the device 500 can support the version corresponding to the EMS controller 160.
- the version confirmation request includes version information of the EMS controller 160, for example.
- step S43 the device 500 transmits to the EMS controller 160 a version confirmation response indicating whether or not the device 500 can support the version corresponding to the EMS controller 160.
- the version confirmation response may include a list of versions that can be supported by the device 500.
- the EMS controller 160 can grasp whether or not the device 500 is compatible with the corresponding version of the EMS controller 160. For example, if the EMS controller 160 manages a command defined by a corresponding version of the device 500, the EMS controller 160 transmits a command defined by the corresponding version of the device 500. On the other hand, when the EMS controller 160 does not manage the command defined by the corresponding version of the device 500, the EMS controller 160 acquires the command defined by the corresponding version of the device 500 and the corresponding version of the device 500. Send the command defined in. As a result, it is possible to suppress transmission of a command defined by a version that the device 500 does not support.
- step S51 the device 500 detects the second timing.
- the second timing is at least one of a timing at which a corresponding version of the device 500 is updated and a periodic timing.
- step S52 the device 500 transmits to the EMS controller 160 a version confirmation request for confirming whether the EMS controller 160 is compatible with the corresponding version of the device 500.

- the version confirmation response may include a list of versions that can be supported by the EMS controller 160.
- the EMS controller 160 can grasp whether or not the EMS controller 160 is compatible with the corresponding version of the device 500.
- the device 500 may store a version that the device 500 knows as corresponding to the EMS controller 160, in which case the device 500 may use a command defined by the stored version.
- the transmission of version information can be partly omitted when transmitting. For example, when the device 500 is powered on, a command including version information is first transmitted to the EMS controller 160. Since the device 500 knows that the normal operation has been performed unless an error is returned from the EMS controller 160, a command that does not include version information based on the corresponding version of the EMS controller 160 stored in the device 500 is thereafter used. Can be sent. Note that when the device 500 is turned off and then turned on, a command including version information is first transmitted to the EMS controller 160.
