La présente invention concerne un procédé perfectionné pour la préparation de chlorhydrate de Dexméthylphénidate de formule (A). Plus particulièrement, la présente invention concerne un procédé perfectionné pour la préparation de chlorhydrate de Dexméthylphénidate de formule (A) et de son intermédiaire de chlorhydrate d'acide d-thréo ritalinique de formule (III).
