Abstract

An infant formula comprising: (i) a fat blend comprising saturated fatty acid residues having 16 carbon atoms and unsaturated fatty acid residues having 18 carbon atoms and one double bond, wherein at least 30% by weight of the saturated fatty acid residues having 16 carbon atoms are present at the 2-position in a triglyceride; and (ii) milk fat, wherein the fat blend represents from 40 to 95% by weight of the total fat content of the infant formula and the milk fat represents from 5 to 60% by weight of the total fat content of the infant formula.
