Abstract

 ユーザの脳波信号を利用して脳波インタフェース(IF)の起動を実現する。  脳波IFシステムは、脳波信号を計測する脳波計測部と、脳波信号に含まれる事象関連電位を解析し、解析結果に基づいて機器の機能を制御するための機能制御信号を出力する機能制御部と、機能制御信号を出力する出力部とを有している。起動装置は、脳波IFシステムが機能していないときにおいて、出力部に対して、出力部における単一項目の視覚刺激の提示および消滅を制御するための刺激制御信号を送信し、かつ、脳波計測部から取得した脳波信号のうち、視覚刺激の提示タイミングを起点とした事象関連電位のP200成分の値と所定の閾値とを比較することにより、比較結果に応じて機能制御部に対して起動トリガを出力するか否かを決定する起動判定部と、視覚刺激の提示タイミングを起点とした事象関連電位のN100成分に基づいて視覚刺激をユーザが注目しているか否かを判定し、判定結果に応じて、起動判定部の処理を開始させる刺激注目判定部とを備えている。起動判定部が起動トリガを出力することにより、脳波IFシステムが起動する。
