Abstract

 本発明の目的は発光輝度の低下を抑制し、寿命が大幅に改善された有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子を提供することであり、少なくとも一対の電極間に狭持された有機発光層を含む有機化合物層を有する有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子において、前記有機発光層を、水酸基含有化合物からなる不純物濃度0.15質量%未満の有機化合物材料で形成した有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子、および前記不純物の含有量を定量し、その含有量が0.15質量%未満の有機化合物材料を選定して有機発光層の形成材料に使用する有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子用の有機化合物材料の選定方法によって達成される。  また、本発明は塗布膜形成インク、薄膜形成方法、および有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子の製造方法を提供する。
