Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Einrichtung und ein Verfahren für die Handhabung von Probenbehältern (3) zwischen einem Annahmebereich (2) für die Probenbehälter (3) und einer von mehreren Laborstationen (11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16) in einem Labor (1), wobei in den Labor­stationen (11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16) in den Probenbehältern (3) vorhandene Proben biologischen Ursprungs behandelt, analysiert, archiviert oder vernichtet werden, mit einem Erfassungsmodul (18) zum Erfassen von auf den Probenbehältern (3) gespeicherten, unverwechselbaren, maschinenlesbaren Identifikationsdaten und mit einer programmierbaren Steuereinrichtung (20), welche zuvor in ihr hinterlegte Auftragsdaten anhand von in den Auftragsdaten enthaltenen unverwechselbaren Identifikationsdaten den Probenbehältern (3) zuordnet und Leitsignale generiert. Die Einrichtung umfasst ferner eine mit der Steuereinrichtung (20) wirkverbundene, mobile Leiteinrichtung (21) und Mittel zum Ausgeben der Leitsignale, anhand deren die Handhabung der Probenbehälter (3) zu einer von mehreren Laborstationen (11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16) koordinierbar ist.
