Abstract

The invention concerns a device for transporting a pair of skis with their poles characterised in that it comprises a belt (1) made of polypropylene for example, provided with a length-adjusting buckle (2) and a loop (3) and provided at least at both ends with straps (4, 5) perpendicular to said belt each comprising hook and loop fastening portions (6, 7) or the like for tightening, the length of said strap being sufficient for enclosing the pair of skis and the belt length enabling it to be passed over the shoulders. When the skis are used it is possible to wind the belt (1) on itself, so as to store it in the user's pocket. A hook (10) is provided for hanging the device together with the skis on the wall.

Description

DEVICE FOR TRANSPORTING A PAIR OF SKIS WITH THEIR STICKS

The invention relates to a device for transporting on foot a pair of skis provided with its poles. There are no convenient and safe means for the neighborhood for the transport by a pedestrian of a pair of skis. If it is carried on the shoulder, there is always the risk of hitting a person from behind and injuring them. The object of the invention is to remedy these drawbacks. For this purpose, the device for transporting a pair of skis with its poles is characterized in that it comprises a polypropylene strap provided with a length adjustment loop, and a loop, then fitted at least at its two ends of tongues perpendicular to said strap, the length of the tongues being sufficient to surround the skis. To ensure the closing of the tabs; these include a contact closure of the "Velcro" or similar type allowing, by contact of two surfaces, a quick attachment and detachment of the tabs. A sandoclic (elastic cord with quick closure) will block any sliding of the upper tongue on skis; but also to attach the poles in a vertical position on the skis. A portion of "Velcro" located on the strap, under the upper tab, will immobilize the sandoclic during the winding of the device.

When using skis, it is possible to wrap the strap on itself and for this purpose it includes before the last lap a portion of "Velcro" which cooperates by clinging to it with the portion of "Velcro" of the tab located at the corresponding end. Finally, the strap includes a stirrup which allows all the skis and poles to be hung on the wall with the device.

COPIEDEC 0 NFIRMATION In Figure 1, 1 has designated the strap with its loop 2 and its loop 3 for adjusting the length. At the two ends of the strap are sewn two tabs 4 and 5 each provided with portions of "Velcro" 6 and 7, and a mini tab 13. These tabs are intended to surround the pair of skis, the lower tab 5 being placed under the lower part of the binding of the ski receiving the heel so as to properly hold the ski as shown in Figure 4. The mini tabs 13 being intended to facilitate the opening of the tabs 4 and 5, and of the cover 8.

A sandoclic 11 will be sewn perpendicularly on the tongue 4, the latter having two functions the first being a function of holding the poles with the skis; the second being to prevent any sliding up of the tongue 4 on the skis during their transport on the shoulder. It is the free part of the sandoclic 11 that will be placed around the attached skis and sticks by passing it under the front binding of the second ski, and will join its fixed part for closing.

To facilitate when winding the strap, the correct position of the sandoclic 11, a portion of "Velcro" 12 has been provided on the upper and internal part of the strap 1 allowing, by closing, another portion of "Velcro" 12 on the sandoclic 11, maintaining it in a linear position in the strap 1.

In order to better understand the descriptions, the side of strap 1 will be called "I" (inside) which will be in contact with the user's shoulder, and "E" (outside) the opposite side.

When you want to use skis, it will suffice; in order to store the device, fold the upper tab 4 back onto itself by juxtaposing the "Velcro" 6 and 7 and then wind it on its side I all along the strap 1. The sandoclic 11 will be previously trapped in the "Velcro" 12. Before the last winding turn of the device, a cover 8 is provided which is wider than the strap 1 in the form of a rectangular neoprene strip, for example.

On the upper part of this cover and on its outer side is a portion of "Velcro" loop 9 which, after the complete winding of the device, will cooperate with the portion of "Velcro" hook 7 of the lower tab 5 - initially folded back on itself (fig. 2 & 3). Finally, in order to suspend the skis from the wall with the device in place, a bracket 10 is placed on the upper part of the strap 1 (Fig. 1)

As can be seen in FIG. 1, the strap 1 is formed in 2 parts: an upper part comprising at its upper end the tongue 4, on which the sandoclic 11 and the "Velcro" 6 and 7 have been sewn.

Under the tongue 4 is positioned the stirrup 10 on the outside and the "Velcro" 12 on the inside of the strap. This upper part of the strap 1 is terminated by the adjustment loop 2. The passer-by 3 will connect the upper strap to the lower strap.

The lower strap is reinforced in the lower part by the cover 8 and will be finished in its lower part by the tongue 5.

Claims

1. Device intended to transport a pair of skis with their poles or a snowboard "snowboard" characterized in that it comprises a strap (1) in fabric provided with a loop (2) and a loop (3 ) for adjusting the length and provided at least at its two ends with tongues (4 & 5) perpendicular to said strap for tightening, the length of said tongue being sufficient to surround the pair of skis, and the length of the strap allowing to pass it over the shoulder.

2. Device according to Claim 1 characterized in that the tabs (4 & 5) comprise a portion of "Velcro" or similar product or (6 & 7) to ensure the closing of said tabs.

Device according to Claim 1 characterized in that the strap (1) is wound on itself after use and comprises a cover (8) with a portion of "Velcro" with loop (9) near one of the ends and which cooperates with the "Velcro" or similar product with a hook of the tongue situated at this end to keep the said strap (1) rolled up.

4. Device according to Claim 3 characterized in that the tabs (4 & 5) and the cover (8) each have a mini tab (13) to facilitate the opening of said tabs and cover.

5. Device according to Claim 1 to 4 characterized in that the strap comprises a stirrup (10) on the upper part of the strap (1) allowing to hang the assembly with the skis after use thereof.

6. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 5 characterized in that the tongue (4) comprises an elastic cord with quick closure (11) allowing after installation of the poles along the skis; surround them and block the tongue from sliding from the bottom up.

7. Device according to Claim 6 characterized in that the strap (1) comprises a portion of "Velcro" (12) making it possible to immobilize the elastic cord with quick closure (11) during the winding of the device on itself.
