My invention has for its object a drawplate for the mass production of ceramic ware of all types, shapes and outlines such as facing bricks, facing blocks, bricks whether solid, perforated, or hollow, hollow brickworks of all types, laths, drawn tiles and more particularly facingbricks of. the tenon and-mortise type as disclosed in my oo-pending application, Serial No. 154,083, filed on April 5, 1950, now abandoned.
It is a known fact that in the prior technique of productionofceramic ware through drawing as still used nowadays, one is constrainedto produce a complete and special drawplate for each outline which leads tothe necessity of producing and keeping up a considerable amount of implementing that is costly and cumbersome, while complete changes in drawplates haveto be pro- .ceeded with each time it is necessary to produce a different outline and consequently "lengthy stoppages-arise in manufacture and considerable losses of timeareto be taken into account.
My invention has for its object a drawplatefor the mass production ofceramic were. said drawplate being constituted by assupport carried. by the actual die at the output end of theJatter While rem ovable elements are fitted over said support and provide after their assembly the shape r-outline that itis desired toygive to the ceramic ware passing out of the drawplate.
, This novel technique allows producing ceramic -ware assuming any possible outline whileresorting to a single dieplate as it is sufficient to replace on the support one removable element by another in order-to produce the desired modification in outline within the shortest time possible while using an extremely-simple, light arrangement the bulk of which is extremely small.
It is thus possible to give the support various geometrical shapes whether square, parallelopipedic, round, half round, triangular; trapezium shaped or the like. It is also possible to modify the shape and cross-section of the removable element and alsoto assemble and securesaid elements to the support eitherthrough notchshaped slideways or through pins, screws or bolts oragain through clamping hooks, lugs, keys or thelike securing or hookin means.
In apreferred embodiment of my invention, the support is provided laterally with notchshaped slideways that mate exactly the shape of the interchangeable elements adapted to be fitted therein, each notch showing a bearing on which is positioned the removable element that is held and clamped thereon by projections forming slideways and stops.

I will describe hereinafter with reference to accompanying drawings an embodiment of the invention as applied to a drawplate intended for the production of blocks of facing bricks the sides of which are 22 cm. long-and that are provided with tenons and mortises for engagement with one another. j r

The support maybe inserted in or made in one with the die member of the'ldraw plate that is to be fitted-on the'molding machine and "itis constituted in the'example'illustrated by. a square shaped part I thatmay however assume'as' stated any other geometrical shape and it is" provided essentially at its .cornerswith four triangular prisms2,.3,'4 and 5." The sides of each prism are'arranged in amanner such thatone of the latter'is perpendicular to one side of-th'einternal outline of the-support at the corner considered while the adjacent face is sloping so asto form an angle adapted to make the fitting of the removable elements easier; .thusfor each side of the square shaped member l,"there is at one end a face f one prism that is' perpendicular to the side of the square defined by the support and at the opposite end a sloping face 1 on the prism facing the first prism. The four prisms 2, 3, 4, 5 are interconnected transversely through the shoes 8 the outer surfaces of which are sloping so as to further the easy fitting of the removable elements and through further inner shoes '8' that are flat and form the bottom surface of the fitting and serve as a base at 9 for the removable elements.
These shoes are provided at each end with slideways l and II the projections l2 on which form stops, said slideways being adapted to receive the interchangeable elements l3, ll, l5 and [6 matching exactly their shape, each of said elements as illustrated in Figs. 7 and 8 is provided at one end with a flange l'l adapted to engage one of the slideways I 0 and at the other end, with a fiange l8 sloping with "a predeter= mined obliquity, in the present case 120, "and engaging the other slideway ll.
In Fig. 6 the elements l3, 14, I5, and I6 are shown as positioned on the support I and se 7 3 cured rigidly thereto by means of pins l9 p'assing through perforations in the support and through the perforations 21 of the removable elements. They define thus the output of the draw-plate for the production of a facing block of the type disclosed in my above mentioned copending application. For this purpose the interchangeable element 13 (Fig. 9) provided with a plurality of recesses 22 adapti'ed to mold the thicknesses of the di-fi'erent bricks appearing in the blockand witha corresponding series of projections 23 adapted to mold the dummy joints and also with the half projections lying at each end of the element 13 and adapt-ed to produce the two dummy half joints at the ends of the facing block.
The interchangeable element 1- 4 includes a recess 24 adapted'to form in the complete brick a double tenon jaw, said recess registering with the recessed port-ion 25in the support I.
The element I5 is provided on its inner surface with a shoulderedproj-ection 'ZBadapted to form the mortise in the facing block of the mortise and tenontype.
What I claim is:
l. A drawplate 'for the production of "ceramic ware in combination with adie comprising an open support-fitted at the output of the die and including at its apices sideways interconnected by shoes so as to form slideways and removable elements engaging said "slideways todefine'therewith the shape and outline required for giving the desired form to the ceramicware passing out of the die and stops rigid with the sideways in register with the slideways for holding the removable elements in the latter.
2. A drawplate forthe production of ceramic ware in combination with a die comprising an open support fitted at theoutput'of the die "and including at its apices; prisms interconnected by shoes so as to form slidewaysand'removableelements engaging said slideways to define therewith the shape and outline required for giving the desired form to the ceramic ware passing out of the die and stops rigid with the sideways in register with the, slideways for holding the removable elements in the latter.
3. A drawplate for the production of ceramic ware in combination with 'a die comprising an open support fittedat the output or the die and including at its apices sideways interconnected by shoes so as to form slideways and removable elements engaging said slideways to define therewith the shape and outline'required for giving the desired form to the ceramic ware passing out of the die and stops rigid with the sideways in register with the slideways for holding the removable elements in the latter, and at least one pin securing each removable element to the corresponding part of the su port.
4. In a drawplate for ceramic ware. the combination of a die, a polygonal open support fitted atthe outlet of the die and including at its apices substantially triangular prisms of which one side is perpendicular to the adjacent side of themlygonal support while the other side is oblique with reference to the adjacent side of the polygonal support,.;an d at least one transverse member interconnecting two successive prisms along the corresponding side of the polygonal support and provided with a bearing surface parallel with the side considered and adapted to be engaged by an interchangeable element, and an interchangeable element adapted tobe fitted over each transverse member while engaging the bearing thereon and being-held between the cor;- responding sides of the iprisms at either end or said transverse member, the-associated interchangeable elements defir iing th'e shape-g en to the cross-section of the ceramic ware fed by the die. I

In a drawplate for ceramic-ware, the combination of a die, a polygonal open support fitt'ed at the outlet of the die and i'h'cludihg at-its spices substantially triangular prisms of which; one side is perpendicular to the adjaoentside' of the polygonal support while the other side is oblique With reference to the adjacent side of the p013"- gonal support, the perpendicular and abuses sides of the prism following one another in the same direction throughout the periphery of the support and at least one transverse member interconnecting two successive prisms along the corresponding "side of thepoly'gonal support and provided with a bearing surface parallel with the side considered and adapted to be engaged by an interchangeable 'elr'nendarrd an interchangeable element adapted-to be fitted over such transverse member, while engaging the bearing 'ther eon 'and being herd eetweent ne cor;-
