According-to Fig -1, side walls; All are shown as comprising one or several strips of sufliciently Strong Solid i brievses weds oruotherw se sere i s t er hetth stripsm yteu stretched to-forn' ia ectangle confining substantially the same area astheframe- Thesidewalls thus formed arestiffened and detachably secured to the frame bymeans-ofa plurality of substan- I i l rigid bars 23 and 2fr Thesebars may be permanently orremovablysecured'to the fabric-of the e w ls e inetan eiby mea s f k ts 4. I. 1 91 5 e e s. r. a o he s ta l me ns as known for such purposes in the art. For purpose ofsecuring thebars tothe frame; a corresponding number of holes 28' in addition'to the corner holes 23 are provided. When it is desired to secure side walls 48 to the frame, the ends of bars 29 and 29 are insertedinto the correspondingholes of the frame as pan-best be seen in Fig. 1. It will be apparent that corner bars 29 serve a dual purpose, namely as stifieners for the-side walls and as locks for the legs. I
'To-further secure the side 'walls to theframe and also to close all gaps alongthe lower edges of the side walls, the latter are provided with extensions 42 and 63 respectively extending from the shortsides andthe long sides of the side walls. These extensions may be turnedoverthe frame and slipped b .meansor eyelets 44 over the protrudingv ends ofthe bars as can-gbestbe seen on Fig. 7. This figure also shows that the side walls are secured along practically theirentire lower edge to'the frame." Blots 43 permit the middle part of extensions dt to he slipped over the hinges; thereby-further securing'the sidewalls.
When it is desired tofold :the crib,; the side walls are first removed-by slippingthe eyelets M in the extensions 42 and 43 off the ends of .4 the bars whereupon the entire side walls may be conveniently pulled off. The side Walls can now be rolled or folded together, removal of the bars from the side walls being not necessary. The removal of the bars from the frame also unlocks the legs so that the frame can be folded into the position shownin Fig. 4. i g V While'Fig. 4 shows a. .frame'without support cover and mattress, it should be understood that it is by no means necessary to remove the cover for folding the crib and that the mattress may be'folded over the frame so that a comparatively smalliand.compactpackage is formed which can becarried .inza's iitable bag or trunk. The bag or trunk is"'p'refrably so dimensioned that the differentsidewalls used in connection with the cribfblankets'fsheets and all other items useful or'nede'ssary in the care of a baby can be placed in the same bag or trunk.
