Abstract
10,612. Alesbury, H. T., and Hickmott, A. E. May 4. Folding and collapsible furniture.-Relates to collapsible furniture, cots, bed - steads, rectangular tents, &c., built up of folding X-frame members. In the cot shown in Fig. 1, the X-frames A are connected by plates M, N, and horizontal members B are provided, pivoted to t h e plates N, and clipped to the plates M by clips O as shown in Fig. 3. Bars D are provided, the L or T shaped end plates of which engage slots in the bars B or in the vertical members C. These vertical members C, Fig. 4, are so arranged that, as the cot is collapsed or opened out, the upper connecting- plates M run up or down on them. The canvas E, Fig. 1, is secured by flaps F fastened by the hook J and ring G and may be raised or lowered by the adjusting strap and buckle L.
