it known that I, JOHN F. BYRNE, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city and county of Kalamazoo, State of Michigan, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Display Boxes, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to improvements in display boxes. he main object of this invention is te provide an improved display box in which the goods may be packed for shipping or storage and the box easily adjusted for effectively displaying its contents. A further object is to provide a box havadvantages which is comparatively strong and durable as a box.

I accomplish the objects of my invention by the devices and means described in the following specification. The invention is clearly dened and pointed out in the claims. A structure which is a preferred embodiment of my invention is clearly illustrated in the accompanying drawing form-ing a part of this application, in which:

To hold the arts' in display position the flap 11 is providied with a tongue 14 adapted to engage a slit 15 in the rear wall 2 of the box. The end walls are preferably provided with flaps 16 which fold below the cover, vhen the box is closed, thus more effectively c same.

The box may be shipped or stored in the knock-down or collapsed form. It is easily erected and conveniently adjusted to display position as desired.

Having thus described my invention what .I lclaim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is 1. A display box comprising a body member having front, rear and end walls, the end walls having closure aps on their upper edges terminating in spaced relation to the rear ends of the end walls, a bottom havadapted to telescope within the end wa said rear wall section having ears at the ends thereof adapted tov be engaged over the end walls at the rear of their said flaps for supporting the bottom in a forwardly inclined position, and a cover integral with said rear wall section and havin a closure flap at its front edge adapted to old within the front wall, said cover being scored longitudinally to facilitate its bein folded'rearwardly upon itself, its said ap having a. tongue on its edge, the rear wall of the body having a slit adapted to receive said tongue for holding said cover in tion.

A display box comprising a body meniber having front, rear and end walls, a bottoni having a front wall section secured on the inner side of said front wall and a rear wall section adapted to telescope within said rear wall, said rear wall section having ears at the ends thereof adapted to be engaged over the end walls for supporting the bo toni in a forwardly inclined position, and a wall section,

cover being scored longitudinally to facilitate its being folded rearwardly upon itself, its said Hap having a tongue on its edge, the rear wall of the body having a slit adapted to receive said tongue for holding sai cover in its adjusted position.

A display box comprising a body meinber having front, rear and end walls, the end walls having closure flaps on their Vupper edges terminating in spaced relation to the rear ends of the end walls, a bottom having a front wall section secured on the inner side of said front wall and a rear wall section adapted to telescope within said rear wall and rearwardly tapered end a s adapted to telescope wi hin the end walls, said rear wall section having ears at the ends thereof adapted to be engaged over the end walls at the rear of their said ila s for supporting the bottom in a forwar y its adjusted posiinclined position, and a cover integral with said rear wall section.

A display box comprising a bodypmeml ber having front, rear and end walls, a bottom having a front wall section secured on the inner side of said front wall and a `rear wall section adapted to telescope within said rear wall, said rearwall at the ends thereof adapted to be engaged over the end walls for' supporting the bo tom `in a forwardly inclinedposition, and a cover integral with said rear wall section.

A display box comprising a body meinber having front, rear and end walls, a bot`V tom secured to the front wall and having a rear wall section ada ted to telescope within the rear wall'an end flaps adapted to telescope within the wall section having earsvat the ends thereof adapted to be engaged upon the end walls for supporting the bottom in a forwardly inclined position, and a cover extending from said rear wall section and having a 'closure flap at its front end adapted to fold within the `front of the box, said cover ing scored longitudinally to facilitate its' being folded rearwardly upon itself, its said Hap having a tongue on its edge, the rear wall of the body having a slit adapted to .reF ceivesaid tongue for holding said cover in d its adjusted position.
