Description
- R. H. LE PAGE MIRROR HOLDER. APPLICATION FILED 11.24. 1911.

I 0 w iSa-Jajz I OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO C.
UNITE RODALPI-I H. LE'PAGE, OF CHICAGO, ILLINOIS.
MIRROR-HOLDER.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, RoDALPH H. Ln PAGE, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of the city of Chicago, county of Cook, and State of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Mirror-Holders, of which the following is a specification.
My invent-ion relates to improvements in mirror holders and has for its object the provision of a device of this character which is of simple construction and efficient in operation.
The invention consists in the combination and arrangements of parts hereinafter described and claimed.
The invention will be best understood by reference to the accompanying drawings forming a part of this specification and in which,
Figure 1 is a side elevation of a mirror holder embodying my invention, and Fig. 2, a section of the same taken substantially on line w-oa of Fig. 1.
The preferred form of construction as illustrated in the drawings comprises a metallic body plate 1 having one end 2 bent at right angles thereto and perforated and threaded for the reception of a clamping screw 3. At its inner end screw 3 carries a swiveled clamping block 4 which is provided with a T-shaped lug 5 slidably engaging a slot 6 in body plate 1. At its other end body plate 1 is provided with a clamping jaw 7 having points 8 adapted to penetrate an object clamped between said jaw and clamping block 4. A supporting bracket 9 is provided with feet 10 resting against the back of body plate 1 and secured in position by bending the edges 11 of said body plate over said feet as indicated. Bracket 9 is provided with a perforation 12 adapted to receive a hook 13 on the end of an adjustable mirror hanger Specification of Letters Patent.
Application filed April 24, 1911.
Patented June 11, 1912.
Serial No. 623,013.
14 which is provided with an adjustable mirror 15 at its other end.
In use the body plate 1 may be readily clamped to the edge of a table, window-sill,
window-rail, shelf, pipe or other support and the hook 13 of hanger 14 adjustably inserted through the perforation 12. This mounting will give a wide range of adjustment for the mirror 15.
While I have illustrated and described the preferred construction for carrying my invention into effect, this is capable of variation or modification without departing from the spirit of my invention. 1, therefore, do not wish to be limited to the exact details of construction as set forth, but desire to avail myself of such variations and modifications as come within the scope of the appended claim.
Having described my invent-ion what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:
A device of the class described comprising a sheet metal body 1 having one end 2 bent at right angles thereto and perforated and threaded for the reception of a clamping screw 3, said body being provided with a central longitudinal slot 6; a clamping'block 4 swiveled to screw 3 and provided wit-h a T shaped lug 5 slidably engaging slot 6; a clamping jaw 7 on the other end of body 1; a perforated supporting bracket 9 provided with feet 10 resting on the back of body 1; and edges 11 bent over said feet, substantially as described.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
' RODALPH H. LE PAGE.
