Abstract

Description

一種氣溶膠產生系統之類型係一電控吸煙系統。由一包括電池及控制電子之裝置部分及一包括一氣溶膠形成基體供應器之卡匣部分所組成之手持式電控吸煙系統係已知的。一包括一氣溶膠形成基體供應器及一蒸發器之卡匣有時稱為「霧化器(cartomiser)」。該蒸發器通常包括纏繞在一浸入一液體氣溶膠形成基體中之細長芯體周圍的一加熱線線圈。該卡匣部分通常不僅包括該氣溶膠形成基體供應器及一電控蒸發器,而且包括一煙嘴,其中使用者可在該煙嘴上抽吸,以將氣溶膠引入使用者之口中。

該等導電細絲可以具有8μm與100μm間、較佳地,8μm與50μm間、更佳地,8μm與39μm間之直徑。該等細絲可以具有一圓形剖面或可以具有例如一扁平剖面。
單一加熱器元件之導電細絲網狀物、陣列或織物的面積可以是小的,較佳地,小於或等於25mm2,以允許將它併入一手持系統中,該加熱器元件可以例如是矩形的及具有約5mm之長度及約2mm之寬度。在一些範例中,該寬度小於2mm,例如,該寬度約1mm。該等加熱器元件之寬度越小,則在本發明之加熱器總成中可以串接更多加熱器元件。使用串接之較小寬度加熱器元件的優點在於:增加加熱器元件之結合的電阻。

該等導電接觸部分可以直接固定至該等導電細絲。該等接觸部分可以位於該等導電細絲與該電絕緣基板間。例如,該等接觸部分可由被電鍍至該絕緣基板上之銅箔所形成。該等接觸部分亦可以與該等細絲比與該絕緣基板更容物結合。

本發明亦有關於一種氣溶膠產生系統,較佳的是一種電控吸煙系統,其包括依據本發明之卡匣。
該氣溶膠產生系統進一步包括一主單元,其中該卡匣可拆卸地連接至該主單元。該液體儲存部分及該加熱器總成係設置在該卡匣中及該主單元包括一電源。不同的配置係可能的。

第1C圖顯示在完全移除該蓋子26及移動該煙嘴部分12至一關閉位置下之第1B圖之系統。

以一可移除蓋子26覆蓋該加熱器總成30。該蓋子30包括一不可液體滲透塑膠片,其膠合至該加熱器總成,但可輕易地被剝除。可在該蓋子26之一側提供一凸出部,以在剝除該蓋子時,允許使用者抓緊該蓋子。一般熟悉該項技藝者現在將顯而易知,雖然膠合被描述為固定該不滲透塑膠片至該加熱器總成30之方法,但是只要消費者可輕易地移除該蓋子26,亦可以使用該項技藝者所熟悉之其它方法,其包括熱封(heat sealing)或超音波熔接(ultrasonic welding)。
將了解到,其它卡匣設計係可能的。例如,在該卡匣中之毛細管材料包括兩個或兩個以上個別毛細管材料,或者該卡匣可以包括一用以保持自由液體之貯存的槽。
該等加熱器細絲36經由在該基板34中之孔暴露出來,以便汽化氣溶膠形成基體可流出至通過該加熱器總成之氣流中。
在使用中,將該卡匣20放置在該氣溶膠產生系統中,以及使該加熱器總成30接觸一包含於該氣溶膠產生系統中之電源。提供一電子電路,以供電該加熱器元件36及蒸發該氣溶膠產生基體。

在像第3及4圖所示之配置中,該等加熱器元件之配置可以是這樣的:相鄰加熱器元件間之間隙係實質相同的。例如,可使該等加熱器元件横跨該孔35之寬度而規律地隔開。在其它配置中,可以使用在該等加熱器元件間之不同間距,以例如獲得一期望加熱曲線(heating profile)。可以使用其它形狀之孔或加熱器元件。
該加熱器總成可以包括一由304L不銹鋼所形成之具有約400Mesh US(每英吋約400條細絲)的網格尺寸之網狀物。該等細絲具有約16μm之直徑。該網狀物連接至彼此分開有一間隙且由具有約30μm厚之銅箔所成的電接觸件32。該等電接觸件32係設置在一具有約120μm厚之聚醯亞胺基板34上。構成該網狀物之該等細絲在該等細絲間界定空隙。在此範例中之空隙具有約37μm之寬度,但是可以使用更大或更小空隙。使用一具有這些近似尺寸之網狀物允許半月形液面之氣溶膠形成基體形成於等空隙中,以及對於該加熱器總成之網狀物來說可藉由毛細管作用汲取氣溶膠形成基體。有利地,該網狀物之開放面積,亦即,該等空隙之面積對該網狀物之總面積的比率,是在25%與56%間。該加熱器總成之總電阻為約1歐姆。該網狀物提供大部分的電阻,以便藉由該網狀物產生大部分的熱。在此範例中,該網狀物具有大於該等電接觸件32有100倍以上之電阻。
該基板34係電絕緣的,以及在此範例中,係由一具有約120μm厚之聚醯亞胺薄板所形成。該基板係
圓形的及具有8mm之直徑。該網狀物係矩形的及在一些範例中具有5mm及2mm之邊長。這些尺寸允許一具有相似於傳統香煙或雪茄之大小及形狀的完整系統的建立。已發現到另一有效尺寸之範例為一具有5mm直徑及1mm×4mm矩形網格之圓形基板。
在依據該揭露之一替代加熱器總成中,可以一平行導電細絲陣列來取代該網狀物36。該細絲陣列係由304L不銹鋼所形成及具有約16μm之直徑。
可以使該等細絲直接結合至該基板34,該等接觸件32接著結合至該等細絲上。該等接觸件32彼此分開有一絕緣間隙,以及係由約30μm厚之銅箔所形成。基板細絲及接觸件之相同配置可使用於一網格式加熱器(mesh type heater)。具有該等接觸件做為一最外層可有利於提供與電源之可靠電接觸。
該加熱器總成可以包括與電接觸件一體成形之複數個加熱器細絲。該等細絲及該等電接觸件係由不銹鋼箔所形成,其中該不銹鋼箔被蝕刻,以界定細絲。該等接觸件除了以該等細絲來連結之外分開有一間隙。該不銹鋼箔係設置在一聚醯亞胺基板34上。再者,該等細絲提供大部分的電阻,以便該等細絲提供大部分的熱。在此範例中,該等細絲具有大於該等電接觸件有100倍以上之電阻。
在第3圖所示之卡匣中,該等接觸件32及細絲36a、36b、36c位於該基板層34與該外殼24間。然而,可以另一方式安裝該加熱器總成至該卡匣外殼,以便該聚醯亞胺基板直接相鄰於該外殼24。
雖然上述實施例具有有實質圓形剖面之外殼的卡匣,但當然可形成其它形狀之卡匣外殼,例如,矩形剖面或三角形剖面。這些外殼形狀將確保在該對應成形空腔內之一期望方位,進而確保該裝置與該卡匣間之電連接。
在該外殼24中有利地定位該毛細管材料22,以輸送液體至該加熱器總成30。當組裝該卡匣時,該等加熱器細絲36可以與該毛細管材料22接觸,並因此可將氣溶膠形成基體直接輸送至該加熱器。在本發明之範例中,氣溶膠形成基體接觸每一細絲之大部分面積,以便該加熱器總成所產生之大部分的熱直接傳送至該氣溶膠形成基體中。相較下,在傳統芯體及線圈加熱器總成中,只有該加熱器芯體之小部分與該氣溶膠形成基體接觸。該毛細管材料22可以延伸至該等細絲36間之空隙。
在使用中,該加熱器總成係以電阻加熱來運作。電流在控制電子16之控制下通過該等細絲36,以在一期望溫度範圍內加熱該等細絲。該細絲網狀物或陣列具有明顯比該等電接觸件32及電連接器19高之電阻,以便使高溫度侷限至該等細絲。該系統可以配置成藉由提供電流至該加熱器總成來產生熱,以回應使用者之抽煙,或者可以配置成持續產生熱,同時該裝置處於「開啟」狀態。該等細絲之不同材料可以適用於不同系統。例如,在一持續加熱系統中,石墨細絲係適合的,因為它們具有一相對低比熱容量(specific heat capacity)
及可符合低電流加熱。在一抽煙致動系統(puff actuated system)中,其中使用高電流脈衝以短叢發來產生熱,具有一高比熱容量之不銹鋼細絲可能是更適合的。
在一抽煙致動系統中,該裝置可以包括一抽煙感測器(puff sensor),其配置用以偵測使用者何時經由該煙嘴部分引入空氣。該抽煙感測器(未圖示)連接至該控制電子16,以及該控制電子16係配置成只在確定使用者正在該裝置上抽煙時,供應電流至該加熱器總成30。可以使用任何合適氣流感測器(air flow sensor)做為一抽煙感測器,例如,傳聲器(microphone)。
在一可能實施例中,一般來說,可以使用該等細絲36中之一個或一個以上細絲或該加熱器元件之電阻率的變化,偵測該加熱器元件之溫度的變化。此可用以調節對該加熱器元件所供應之電力,以確保它保持在一期望溫度範圍內。亦可以使用溫度之突變做為偵測因使用者在該系統上抽煙所造成之氣流通過該加熱器元件之變化的手段。該等細絲中之一個或一個以上細絲可以是專屬溫度感測器及可以由一具有用於那個目的之合適電阻溫度係數的材料所形成,例如,鐵鋁合金、Ni-Cr、鉑、鎢或合金線。
在第1D圖中描述在使用該系統時通過該煙嘴部分之氣流。該煙嘴部分包括內部擋板17,該等內部擋板17與該煙嘴部分之外壁一體成型,並確保當將空氣從入口13引入至出口15時,可流過在該卡匣上之該加熱器總成30,其中氣溶膠形成基體則會在該處被蒸發。
當空氣通過該加熱器總成時,汽化基體夾帶於氣流中及在離開該出口15前冷卻成氣溶膠。於是,在使用中,該氣溶膠形成基體在蒸發時藉由通過該等細絲36a、36b、36c、36d間之空隙而通過該加熱器總成。
一般熟悉該項技藝者可構想出包含依據此揭露之加熱器總成的其它卡匣設計。例如,該卡匣可以包括一煙嘴部分、可以包括一個以上加熱器總成及可以具有任何期望形狀。再者,依據此揭露之加熱器總成可以使用於已描述之那些以外的其它類型系統中,例如,濕潤器(humidifiers)、空氣清新機(air fresheners)及其它氣溶膠產生系統。
第5圖係表示,在實施範例中之加熱元件所提供的總微粒物質(TPM)輸出量的測試中,用以測量3個不同配置之加熱器元件的性能之示圖。
該等被測試加熱元件係如下:加熱器A-孔5mm×5mm。3個加熱器元件係配置成如第3圖所示-每一者具有1mm之寬度。近似加熱器面積約15mm2。電阻約1.2歐姆。功率消耗6W。
加熱器B-孔3mm×3mm。一加熱器元件覆蓋整個孔。近似加熱器面積10mm2。電阻約0.5歐姆。功率消耗6W。
加熱器C-孔5mm×5mm。一加熱器元件係配置成如第2圖所示,其具有2mm之寬度。近似加熱器面積10mm2。電阻約0.8歐姆。功率消耗4W。
安裝一含液體毛細管材料相鄰於該加熱器。該液體包括39重量百分比的丙二醇、39重量百分比的甘油、20重量百分比的水及2重量百分比的尼古丁。
使包含每3秒55ml之氣流的一口煙在加熱期間通過該加熱器,並夾帶於該氣流中之合成氣溶膠陷落在一玻璃纖維濾盤(Cambridge Pad)上。在45口煙之測試運行後,以一已知方式使用一酒精溶液從該玻璃纖維濾盤萃取氣溶膠成分,以測定那個測試運行之總微粒物質(TPM)。計算每一口煙之TPM並顯示於第5圖中。
包含覆蓋該整個孔之該加熱器元件的加熱器B顯示具有每一口煙只有1.1毫克之最低TPM(總微粒物質)產量。該加熱器總成具有6瓦的功率消耗。
關於包含只有一個10mm2加熱器元件之加熱器C,觀察到一較高TPM。對於此加熱器總成,完成每一口煙有約2.2毫克之TPM產量,同時功率消耗共計只有4瓦。因此,一具有相似於加熱器B之尺寸的加熱器元件甚至在較低功率下可看到一較高TPM。
在不希望被任何特定理論束縛下,認為對於加熱器C(其中該加熱器之邊緣與該孔邊緣隔開)而言,對該基板元件具有更少的熱傳送。並且,認為對於加熱器B而言,一些熱加熱在該基板元件下面之液體及無法經由該孔釋放那個液體,因而造成來自該等加熱器元件之熱的較低效率使用。
對於包括3個加熱片(heater strips)之加熱器A而言,亦具有比加熱器B大的TPM。在不希望被任何特定理論束縛下,認為加熱器A之TPM可能比加熱器C之TPM低,因為相較於加熱器C之單一2mm加熱片,該3條1mm加熱片與該孔之邊緣具有較大接觸長度,此
可能造成對該基板之更多熱傳送或在該基板下面的液體之更無效率的加熱。

Claims (20)
- 一種用於氣溶膠產生系統中之卡匣,其包括:一液體儲存部分,其包括一用以保持一液體氣溶膠形成基體之外殼,該外殼具有一開口;以及一加熱器總成,其包括固定至該外殼且延伸横跨該外殼之開口的至少一加熱器元件,其中該加熱器總成之該至少一加熱器元件所具有之寬度小於該外殼之該開口的寬度,及其中該加熱器元件係可流體滲透的且包括複數個導電細絲。
