Abstract

A high pressure turbine (1) and two low pressure turbines (2, 3) connected in parallel are arranged on a common shaft to drive a generator (4). The first low pressure turbine (2) is arranged directly on the outlet side of the high pressure turbine (1), whilst the second low pressure turbine (3) is connected by way of a connecting steam line (6) to the unit comprising the high pressure turbine (1) and the first low pressure turbine (2). Such an arrangement has the advantage that the connecting steam line (6) has only to be designed for the second low pressure turbine (3). <IMAGE>
